DH LOVES them...it reminds him of his dad cause they used to watch together when he was a kid.

the jokes get repetitive after a while

I have fond memories of the 3 Stooges.  My father watched them all the time (still does.) DH doesn't watch them, but that doesn't mean he dislikes them.

i'll watch... but not a WHOLE DAY, like dh.
they remind me of my father, too. when i was a kid, we'd watch the three stooges, the munsters, and the little rascals on saturday mornings. i loved watching it all with him.

well, that's a first
and the funny thing is
curly is EVERYONE'S favorite
mine as well
but shemp was actually very funny in his own right - but he never really got the same credit, because he was always compared to curly - and it's not a fair comparison
and alot of people forget that the ORIGINAL three stooges in vaudeville, BEFORE they made movies, were actually larry, moe, and shemp.

I like Shemp too, but curly sticks out more in my mind.
and Moe was just mean. I hated Moe. but I don't like mean people...and I tend to "root" for the underdog...no matter how stupid they may be.
larry is a gimmee. not mean enough to hate, not stupid enough to love.
ETA: I must say I related to Moe on a physical level growing up...for the first few years of my life, we had the same haircut

oh yeah - curly is definitely the one everyone remembers
and yeah, moe was mean - but you needed the combination of mean, tweener, and lovable simpleton to make the trio work
and if you look beyond the physical it hit an interesting social nerve. The Stooges, in most of the movie represented Joe/Jill EveryMan/Woman and poking fun at high soceity
