I think I need new prenatals (your rec pls)
right now I am on Citra-Cal and take an additional Expectra DHA supplement each day. I actually like Citra-Cal, but hates the DHA supplement, it leaves a nasty after taste in my mouth and makes me really nauseous! I am going to ask my OB to prescribe something else with DHA already in it, so I only have to take 1 pill a day.
What are you taking? Does it make you sick? What time during the day do you normally take it?

maybe try expecta DHA? It's OTC and you can buy it on drugstore.com.
they're gelcaps, and at least to me, they taste like absolutely nothing....
(I take 2 dha's a day... 400 mg, and target prenatal at night)

oh  sorry, I can't help you....
I do know that several women here take prescription vitamins containing DHA.... maybe ask your OB for samples to see which you can tolerate?

i take the duet chewables, they have zero aftertaste (i take them at night and drink a little water afterwards, no nausea and no aftertaste)

For my Omega 3/Fish Oil/DHA I take Nordic Naturals LEMON flavor.
Now to me-- they still smell fishy when you open the bottle, BUT they don't taste like anything and they never ever "repeat" on me.
I haven't been good about taking them when I am naus-- but I couldn't imagine something that actually TASTED like fish. YUCK. I don't eat fish.

I take Prima Care One. They dont make me sick and they have no taste. I take them at night only b/c that is the easiest time for me to always remember to take them.

My OB prescribed PrimaCare One....haven't had any issues with it at all. I take mine at night though, just because it's easier for me.

I take regular Citracal Prenatal w/out the DHA supplement(and did for my DD as well). I asked my OB and he said he didn't feel it was necessary and mentioned the side effects you are getting.

I take this prenatal too and I haven't had any problems with it. I also take it at night before I am going to bed- easy to remember and just in case it did make my stomache feel bad, I wouldn't really know.

i had citra cal also i am now on primacare one i like that pne better its 1 pill and has dha in it i take it at night b/c its easier to remember
