I really think my head is going to explode...
with all the whining and crying and getting into sh!t that DS knows he shouldn't...
Lord help me get through this "terrible twos" with at least half of my brain left intact.
OK... rant over.

Two sucks because they can't verbalize a whole lot yet... I found that getting down on their level and forcing them to use their "words" while ignoring any whining really helped. I also tell DD to "show me" a lot when she doesn't have the words.
Andi know this isn't what you want hear but my son is three, which is SO much worse, so it really makes me appreciate age two so much more

Enjoy the "terrible twos" while you can..... you'll probably wish they were *only* "terrible" for the next two years or so.....
We're hoping DD turns back into a human when she's 6.  She's 5.5 now....

My pediatrician, sister and friends have said the same thing.  (This weighed in on our decision to have another baby when DD is 2 rather than 3, although I'm still terrified lol.)

DD isn't even 2 and she has been in the terrible two's for MONTHS now.
She is getting worse and worse.
Her attitude is horrific!
I ended up almost in tears yesterday because she was acting SOOOO bad at a family gathering that I was embarrased- I feel like a bad mom who is raising a brat.
I was like- I just don't know what to do with her anymore.
She is OUT of control.
Discipline does nothing for her.
She is to the point I think she may have a behavior problem. 
I feel your pain!
And if everyone is saying 3 is worse- and I haven't even hit 2 yet- well, I think I might as well committ myself to the institution now...

I could have written this myself but DS is 28 months. He's been so out of control lately. Punishing him does nothing, he laughs. He started hitting, punching & nipping us. I actually was in tears last night & this morninng bc I feel like I'm raising a monster. I hate to take him anywhere bc he misbehaves. The whining from morning to night, the not sleeping, crying & tantrums. I'm gonna explode.
