Any chance you could talk him into going for YOUR sake? Maybe you could tell him that the stress of worrying about him isn't good for you? I know it's a long shot, but if something is wrong, it's best not to wait.
Has anyone else heard him? What do they say? His parents, maybe?

His thinking is fine and he is coherent but Im just really worried that he is not speaking normally for himself

i called the hospital around 3pm
the surgeon wasnt there being that it is Saturday -
i dont know what else to do
He only took 2 pills (of the ones that I think gave him the reaction) and that was 2 1/2 days ago

I he totally with it??? Because if he isn't if you call 911 they can force him to go.....
Have his symptoms gotten gradually worse or are they still the same?
Is he on ANY medication at all now? Antibiotics of pain medication?

i gave him tylenol allergy which has the same ingredients as benedryl
his symptoms are the same; he is with it - he knows whats going on ; mostly speech is off and he keeps saying that its because his tongue is swollen
i thought he was acting somewhat confused but he says he's fine

I'm really not trying to scare you, but a swollen tongue could be a serious allergy and if it gets worse, could interfere with his ability to breathe. If it's a motor problem, that's also very serious too. Personally, I would freak and tell him he needs to go back to the ER right away. Even if it's nothing, better safe than sorry and does he really want you to worry this much being pg?? I hope you guys are ok!

If that didn't help I would call an ambulance. Even if hes pizzed at least you will know he's safe.
ETA: Or guilt him into it-we are having a baby what if there is a slight chance something is really wrong etc.

We're praying for you here, Laura.
I agree with the rest of the girls. Get your husband to the hospital. If it is an allergy or some type of neurological event (Don't mean to scare you, but I know your fears are running wild and you are probably thinking that, too), there is sooo much they can do at the hospital when you act quickly.
