I posted this on LIW...but girls who made their albums I have some questions!
This damn album is frustrating the heck out of me.
1. How many pages is your album?
2. How many pics did you fit per page? I get a 30 page album and they said usually they can only fit 2 (sometimes 3) pics per page. Is this accurate? That would mean that I could only choose about 60-70 pics for a 30 page album (at least this is what they told me) ..this seems weird to me
3. Do backgrounds count toward the number of pics you can pick per page? They don't- right? At least I hope not
4. Did you end up paying extra money for more pages because you wanted more pics? I might have to do this..because its nearly impossible to pick 60 pics, when I love about 200 of them

Kristin, I can send you the link to my album if you want to see it. I went over by 12 pages and 50 imagines (for an extra $700) but at least you can see what the layout is. It really varies.

Thanks heather..I saw your layout already though (on that post the other day). See thats what I'm afraid of..I can't afford to throw in more money..

why don't you use the photog to make like a more formal album and stay within the limits. And then you can make smaller albums using shutterfly later on. That way you can use all of the images you want without paying an arm and a leg.

That is exactly what I did! I loved too many of my pics to fit into the 30 picture album they had in my package. I should've known better than to agree to that!
Anyway, I made a really nice album of all of our formal pics - not including any of the candids from the reception. Once I got the CD, I have been making an album for our parents and ourselves on shutterfly. It is so easy, and for less than $100 each, I can get three albums with 100+ pictures and 75 pages of all the pictures I love.
Honestly, when I got the professional album, I had a uncertain feeling that maybe I made the wrong decision because it was so beautiful. But it has been over a month that it is sitting in my closet. My parents and ILs have seen it, but really once is enough. Also, it is so nice I freak out when anyone touches it. I think the shutterfly ones will get better use and then they can show the pics off, too, to friends and relatives.
IMO, it is not worth the crazy amount of money to get it done professionally. Get what is in your package only. GL!
