I'm sorry....try to stay positive. My mother had GD with my younger sister (and likely me as well, but they didn't test for it 4 years earlier), and she came out just fine, and she was fine afterwards too, it went away and never caused problems 21 years later. That's the only experience I really know of first hand, and it turned out OK.
