I have possibly a stupid ?
Ok, here it is... Can u only get PG a couple of days out the month? near and after O?? I dont think I ever knew that before :) Just wondering!

Well, an egg is alive for a max of 24 hours. However, sperm can live for up to 5 days, so you could technically get pregnant having sex anywhere from 5 days before ovulation to 1-2 days afterwards.

If you have a very short cycle or luteal phase (time between ovulation and your next period), you could ovulate soon after your period ends.
Are you trying to get pregnant or prevent getting pregnant?
We can give you advice either way, but it will be very different!

If you're asking can you get pg the day before your period I would say it is highly unlikely. It is also unlikely to get pg during your period. Just after your period ends might be a different story, as maybeamommy indicated, it all depends on what CD you usually ovulate. If you ovulate early on in your cycle, then yes, you could get pg at the tail end of a LONG period or just after your period.
