I have a while but...how much does nursery school run these days?

DS is only 11.5 months but DH and i were talking about our school district not having full day kindergarten and then he asked me how much nursery school was. I had no clue. So whats it running and how many days a week does your LO go?

Ds attends four days a week from 9:45-12:00. The total cost for the month is 290.00.

There are two teachers and a max of eight children in the class. It is an excellent program

For 3 days/wk 2.5 hrs, we're paying $1900/yr. That seemed to be the going rate. We did see a school that was $3800 which seemed crazy to me!

DS went 2 days per week for 2.5 hours per day....$181 per month. (2 year old program)

This year DS is going 3 days per week, for 4 hours per day...$478 per month. (3 year old program)

I think it really depends on how many days/hrs per week, the area you live in and the type of program you are looking for.

DS goes to a montessori school it's 5 days a week 2.5 hrs per day and its just over $6000/yr. The other schools I looked at were a Catholic school in our area which was $5400 for the same number of hours and days and a regular nursery school that was 4 days a week same hours for $4800.

I absolutley LOVE my sons nursery school. Its St Johns in Lindy and last year, the 3 year old class, was 100 a month (the rate is 110 now.. they went up) for 2 days a week, tues & thurs from 1230-3 and now this year i moved him to AM and its mon, wed, fri 915-1145 and its 140 a month. They do projects and learn their letters and numbers and shapes. I get something home everyday! They take trips to the library and the pumpkin farm and have parties for every holiday. They did the most ADORABLE christmas pagent last year.. my baby was a shepard :)

we are sending my DD to a Catholic school for a 2 day nursery (3 yr olds) for 2.5 hrs and is it $2,400 for the year!

DD goes to a Catholic nursery school for 2.5 hours, 3 days and it's about $200 a month.

DD goes to daycare, but the school that I checked out for her would have been $160 a month for 3 (half days) days a week.

For the school my kids attend this is the breakdown

2 days a week 2.5 hours a day is $ 245 for the 2.5 year olds and then goes down to $225 for the 3 year olds.

3 days a week for 2.5 hours a day is $270 I think ( I get a 5% break right now at that price) for the 3 year olds.

3 days a week for 5 hours is $425 a month for pre-k.

The only class my school offers for full time is kindergarden and that is 5.5 hours a day and $525 a month.

As much as I love the school my kids will be going to public kindergarden even though it is half day.

I pay $681 a month for my kids to go 3 days a week and the thought of paying close to a $1000 a month for them to go next year makes me sick so it isn't happening.
