I have a cold and I BF...
... is there anything I can take at all? I am congested, have a sinus headache, my nose is runny and I have post nasal drip (ick). All I've been using are those breathe-right strips when I sleep but I need something else. Thanks for any advice you can give me.

Re: I have a cold and I BF...
Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Last week I had a cold and BF like you. I was taking tylenol cold and I called the ped just to make sure it was ok to take when BFing and there was one active ingredient in there that she said to stay away from. She said I could take sudafed without any problems at all. Hope that helps. I also wore a mask over my mouth when I was feeding my son as per her suggestion. Feel better!

Thanks - I'll try the Sudafed. Do you remember what the active ingredient was that you should stay away from?

It was Diphenhydramine HCL which is an antihistamine.
