We do a lot of cooking, picnics on the floor, I even let them use play-do in the house! Put on music and dance...take a drive to nowhere, library, museums, go to Michaels and pick up something cheap to do for arts and crafts.
Go take the free trial class that Gymboree offers, Little Gym, etc!

there are a ton of open play times at places such as once upon a treetop, my gym, lets bounce and party, and a few others...DS and i do parent/tot through the town of babylon for real cheap...9 weeks for $70 (breaks down to like $7 a class) so maybe there is something like that near you?
im in a moms group too... so we do lots of activities and are in a playgroup once a week...maybe you can get into one of those groups? there should be one in your area..im in lindenhurst.

I took DD to the free trial class at Gymboree today. She loved it!! Now she's fast asleep from a full workout
I'm seriously tempted to sign up for a semester, she had that much fun.
