Toyota Camry!!!!

I inherited my dad's when he could not longer drive, then I had to get fancy and buy a luxury high end auto... I can't tell you what aggravation that "luxury" car wasChat Icon I was at the dealership at least every three weeksChat Icon

After my lease (thank God I did but wouldn't do it again) was up I returned to Toyota and bought another Camry in less than 10 minutes.

I told the salesman I felt like the "prodigal son" and will never leave Toyota again... if in 10 years time Toyota only makes scooters then you'll see me on the NSP commuting on a scooterChat Icon

do you fit both your carseats in the camry with no problem? we have one Chat Icon on the way and hope to have another shortly thereafter and we are considering a camry. thanks!!

Yes, two BRITAX Marathons (big car seats) for the first 15 months. Oh, and my dad's wheelchair fits in the trunk no problem, so I always knew my double stroller would.

We didn't get a mini-van until my twins were 15 months old. A Camry is do-able with two kids.

We have a Chevy Malibu and Mazda 3 and are happy with both of them. They both get excellent gas mileage.

I looove my Honda Fit. It looks small on the outside but it's deceptively roomy inside. Very affordable and very good on gas.Chat Icon

I have an 2002 honda CRV and I love it.

Good on gas, big enough for DD's car seat and stroller in the back.

Plenty of room in the front too.

And we got a great deal on it, Honda City in Levittown.

Re: i hate car shopping! please recommend your car...

we've had Hondas and Volkswagons and now have Camrys. We have a 4 cyl and a 6. I personally love the 6 and got it for way under 30K. It's great on gas mileage and the engine is superb. Very roomy and reliable. Either way, both versions are great. The 4 is a XLE and the 6 is a SE.

We went to Atantic Toyota on rt 110 and worked with Rob Figueroa for both leases. We are now officially coverted from Honda lovers. I felt Honda was getting too independent and really nickled and dimed us. We walked out of there and got our deposit back.

Go to edmunds.com first and get the invoice price to know what you are looking at before you walk in there. You should have this before you go. AAA offers a similar service for a fee.

Good luck. Car shopping blows.

Honda Accord or Civic. Great gas mileage and maintenance. I know the dealership down here is doing some great lease deals.

I love my Hyundai's. We have two SUVS, but the Elantra and Sonata are great 4-door cars. I have bought all my cars from Atlantic in West Islip, highly recommend them for the best pricing.

we have a volkswagon passat and absolutely love it.. I would definitely check it out. If you want a smaller car, the Honda Civic is a terrific car and very economical.

Re: i hate car shopping! please recommend your car...

If you're willing to look just a little bit different on the road, I recommend the Scion XB.

The new model is not nearly as boxy as the original one, and looks more like a regular car. But when it comes to what you get for the money, backed by Toyota quality and reliability (Scion is a division of Toyota), this car cannot be beat.

Probably the best thing about the buying experience is that there is NO haggling. The car is the same price no matter what dealer you go to ("pure pricing"). You won't get nickled and dimed over extras because the car is already fully loaded (has power-everything already). It is extremely fuel-efficient, and has room up the wazoo. Seats tilt down when room is needed for all those groceries/toys/etc. Great stereo system, ipod compatible.

I have the 2006 XB. It is the best car I ever owned. And the most fun.

Toyota RAV 4 LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!
its a small SUV... its got lots of room, but its still good on gas- i get about 24 mpg in town, and then even better on the highway on long trips. DH is 6 feet tall, and i'm barely 5 feet tall, but we're both comfortable driving it... nice adjustable seats.
to me, its perfect- its got the room of an SUV, but its good on gas like a car...

totally agree! we just switched from honda accord to toyota rav4 and we were so surprised that we drive almost the same number of miles on a full tank and our toyota is v6... we love it! so comfortable!
