I don't know what's wrong with me
Last cycle AF came a few days early and for only 1 day. I thought it could have been implantation but then I never got a + on a HPT. Fast forward to last week, I saw the nurse practitioner at my OB office and she was pretty dismissive. She said that it was probably a fluke and that since I didn't completely stop BFing my son till the beginning of September, I can't count that we have been TTC since May. I'm not sure if I agree with her since I had AF back and plenty of people get pregnant when they are BFing. Anyway, she didn't give me a blood test and I just still felt like something wasn't right. She looked at my cervix and felt my ovaries and said everything felt fine. Then for the last week I have been using the line OPK's and I should have O'ed this past weekend. NOTHING was showing up on the test, usually I will have a line there , it will start off faint and then get darker but that didn't happen... instead I woke up bleeding this morning! I usually have 33-35 days cycles and this is CD20. I don't know what the heck is going on. I think I may need to just call my OB again and make an appt with him this time, not the nurse.
Am I overreacting? Should I just wait it out?

You are not overreacting. I've never been pregnant before, so I don't know the nurse may be correct in that your cycles are supposed to be weird while bfing. BUT if you feel something is wrong, make an appt with the doctor, that is their job.

ITA ... you know your body best and if this isn't normal cycle for you I would speak to your dr .

Yes he has been completely weaned since the beginning of September. My cycles have been regular since April!

Thanks for not thinking I'm overreacting. I guess it couldn't hurt to make an appointment. I just don't want them to look at me like I am an idiot since I just saw the nurse practitioner. But she did say to come back if I had another weird AF. If this one only lasts for a day, then I will DEFINITELY make an appt.

Well then you can count every month you've been trying IMO and I think she was definitely dismissive.
I don't know how old you are but if you're 35 I think 6 months and you can see an RE. They will at least to do further testing without telling you to just wait it out and keep trying.
I had issues getting pregnant with DS (it turns out it was the steroid shots I had gotten but I didn't put two and two together) and they didn't even blink and eye when I went in after 6 months and i wasn't 35 yet. Turns out I was pregnant and didn't know it b/c my stupid machine kept telling me I wasn't ovulating. But he drew blood, was going to do an ultrasound, start provera, checked my thyroid, etc.
If you think something is off you know best and I would make an appointment with someone. There is no harm in hearing nothing is wrong but you won't know until you check things out.

i'd call your doctor now- get an appointment- they usually are not that quick to get one that works for your schedule
you have been trying - BFing is not birth control for everyone
Before i got pregnant with B- i had 60 day cycles and they did blood work -right away even though i was only just started trying - so you never know what the doc will say - having a baby can trough other levels off - it is common for thyrod to change and that could screw up getting pregant

I have an appointment for Wednesday morning. Hopefully my OB will do some blood work and not be as dismissive as I felt the nurse was!
