I didn't expect to get insulted tonight while grocery shopping
DH was in line to get cold cuts and I went to get some biscuits. While I was getting them, some guy called out to me across the way "Hey Diva, Congratulations. What are you having, boy or girl?"
I'm not pregnant, and I was wearing a normal t-shirt. I just looked at him and then walked away. I couldn't say anything because I was in shock. I even put my biscuits back because obviously I don't need them.
I couldn't tell if he was being an ***, or he actually thought I was pregnant. Either way it's horrible and makes me feel so bad. I know I have a belly and I'm working on it. I never had kids, I'm just fat. 
Ugh, and to happen at a supermarket. It's like saying, "Do you really need to buy that with the way you look?"

I have no idea. I wasn't even looking in his direction. He called out to me and I looked up and he started saying this to me.

maybe he thought you were someone else he knew named Diva and he had heard that Diva was pregnant or maybe he was calling out to someone else? or on one of those phones that you cant tell they are on?

Awhile ago, I had some idiot make mention of my weight, I turned around and looked at him and said, "yeah, well I am working on it, it's something that can be fixed. But I haven't heard of any studies on curing being an azzhole. I'm sure you'll be the first to hear about it though."

People are stupid, crazy, and should be locked in a dungeon sometimes. I once shared something a mom of a boy with autism went through. He is 6, and can't hold hands well, so they put a harness on him to keep him safe - especially in parking lots. He was with his grandmother, and a man came up and asked if he had rabies shots to go with his leash F*nuts - all of them!!!
I know you have to look awesome - you lost a lot of weight and have been working out!!!! And I saw pics of you - you do NOT have a belly at all!!!!!!

I was just so shocked. I'm not one to be able to say something back to someone who says something mean. I usually just turn around and cry. I'm very sensitive.
DH didn't hear and when I told him he was mad and was looking around for him. But I told DH to stop because the guy looked like he could be trouble. I didn't want DH to say something to him and the guy come out and punch DH. It was in a not so nice part of MD near where we live. There is a lot of crime and I worry about getting in those types of situations.

I guess part of it is that I'm SO sensitive about my belly. Every time I put something on that is fitted, I worry if I look pregnant. When I eat anything I get super bloated and it makes it look worse. So I am FOREVER asking myself if I look pregnant, and to finally have a stranger ask me in a supermarket (which is pretty humiliating as you are buying food), was just awful.
When people say mean things to hurt you, it is usually based on the truth. I hate that I'm a target because he never would have said that to a skinny chick.
