I can hardly believe it UPDATE: WE GOT HER!!!!
I might be getting a puppy. Lexie needs a friend. I was actually looking for an older dog on petfinder but not getting any responses when I inquired about them. Talk about frustrating...
We were browsing petfinder.com last night. Came across the two cutest dogs I have ever seen. Decided to apply for one on a whim, but really and truly did not think that we would get a response. We have applied for many dogs over the past couple of years and NEVER once got an email back. Well, since this little pup has a sister, and MY sister (Laura08!) is looking for a puppy, she decided to apply for the other one. I noted in my application that my sister was also applying and how the dogs (who are sisters) could still see each other and whatnot.
Well apparently I said the right thing. I got a phone call this morning, less than 12 hours after I emailed this lady the application. She is thrilled at the prospect that these pups would still get to visit each other and play each month.
So she wants us (and my sis) to have these puppies. I don't have the 100% guarantee that we are getting them, but, it's looking pretty definite.
AHHHHHHHHHHHH. The great thing is, this dog is going to be small. I think I can handle it. Right??? Anyone have two dogs? My girls are thrilled and Lexie is going to LOVE having a playmate.
Here is "my" doggy....she is a mutt, but looks like mostly beagle?? She weighs in at a whopping 3.5 pounds at 13 weeks old. She is being fostered in Arkansas right now. I think I might name her Shelby. I've always loved that name but my hubby wouldn't let me name my girls that. LOL.
I will keep you updated.  Cross your fingers.

OMG< I LOVE HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What about your sis' dog, can we see a pic??
I have two small dogs, they adore each other and adora having a pal around. Your dog will love it!!!
