I am sorry...(Politically related)

beaten to death I am sure.

but someone needs Sarah Palin to get to intensive media training...she is so far behind other politicians it makes her look even less smart than she may be (and I don't know anything about her yet!) I watched the Katie Couric interview and I cringed. Thank goodness for McCain grabbing the headlines or that would have been a bigger story.

Re: I am sorry...(Politically related)

actually, she IS rather media savvy IMO. as long as she sticks to teleprompters and photo-ops, her polls are high.

I think that she actually MAY be that 'far behind' the other politicians... which is exactly the complaint of many voters... Whether or not a person agrees with McCain's policies, he IS an experienced politician.... But Palin Chat Icon... she doesn't seem ready for prime-time, if you know what I mean

And to think just three months ago she was happily installing her shiny, new tanning bed and cleaning her semi-automatic while BF-ing on the porch overlooking Russia and listening to her underage daughter tell her she was PG.

Must seem so easy now.

I really hope this is all an act & she's going to really study up for the debates - not because I want her to win or support her in anyway. It's because I cringe when I watch her.

McCain would have found a better VP in Katie Couric.

I didn't see the whole thing, but the bits I saw were terrible. She doesn't appear to have improved one bit since the Gibson interviews.

I agree with a pp, she should be able to do this with some degree of skill. If she just can't do it, well she should have blinked when she was asked to be VP.

At work, I have described certain 'unqualified' people in this way:

(s)he is so ignorant that (s)he doesn't even KNOW that (s)he doesn't know.....

(it takes a certain level of knowledge to realize that others are ahead of you in something... if you're super far behind or completely ignorant, you likely think that you're all on a similar level, since you don't even realize the depth of the pool.....)

What is her obsession with the word "shore"? Everything needs to be "shored up"! Very annoying.

I backpacked Europe and my parents didn't give a passport to me and send me to Europe. Chat Icon I worked three jobs at one time to save up for that trip. Just because you get your passport early, doesn't mean your parents are paying for a trip to Europe. Chat Icon I really don't like her.

Re: I am sorry...(Politically related)

you ladies are really being mean. i thought she did ok. she did have trouble at the beginning with the questions about freddie mac but she was she would have to look into it. seemed like seh was collecting her thoughts and trying to answer the best she could. i love how everyone critiques her and no one says anything about biden. i dont think obama looked like a veteran. hes a much better public speaker.

Biden has definitely put his foot in his mouth, but he has experience that she lacks. She is up for one of the highest positions in this country's leadership- having time to "collect her thoughts" is a luxury she will not have in the White House. She's had ample time to look into EVERYTHING relevant at the moment- relative to past VP candidates, she's done very little press. The party has shielded her like crazy.

Unfortunatelly, at this level you DO need the whole package. The knowledge, the experience, the communication skills.

Not being able to communicate well is a HUGE handicap in my book.

Yes Biden has put is foot in his mouth several times. Sometimes both feet and go way pass the ankles, but he can talk and he has the experience.

This country is in bad shape. We don't have time to train people on the job or as we go along.

How is she going to be taking seriously if she can't communicate and looks like a lost little mouse?

This is not going to cut it on the International scene. We have a lot of things going on in the World. Not just at home!
