The clomid backfired 
My ultrasound on Thursday showed I was on target to ovulate on Tuesday or Wednesday.
But, I woke up today and while the CBEFM said I was still "low" but when I looked at the stick, both lines were DARK. So I called the RE, who had me come in with DHs sample at like the buttcrack of dawn, all the way downtown.
I get there, get an ultrasound and bloodwork, my arms are totally bruised up from the last week of testing, and she comes in to tell me that the Clomid messed me up and that I'm having a dysfunctional cycle.
My LH surged but my estrogen is stagnant, meaning I'm not going to ovulate and these lovely 6 follicles I have are just going to turn into cysts. This cycle is a total bust.
I burst out crying in her office and cried all the way home. I'm just getting so sick of endless doctor appointments, bloodwork, poking, prodding, ultrasounds, fertility drugs, peeing on a stick every morning, and all for what? To be told the Clomid backfired and I have to take YET ANOTHER break.
I'm pooped. I'm having a nice little pity party for myself today

No. She doesn't think there's any eggs because, while my LG is surging appropriately, my estrogen levels didn't go up. It looks like the follicles that resulted from the clomid are just cysts  She said she thinks it's because the dose of Clomid I was given was too low.
This is just so unbelievably frustrating. It's very hard to keep faith and remain optimistic in all of this.

I'm so sorry I know how badly it sucks to have to be on a forced break--but at least next month she knows to bump you up to the next dose of Clomid. Hopefully that will do it for you!

 This is just awful. Are you positive they turn into cysts??? I never heard of that. This crap really is hard to deal with. I am so so upset for you.

I am sorry this happened. I had a similar kind of shock last month when I was told that Follistim gave me 2 big cysts and I had to take this month off. It is so frustrating . You will feel better about it in a few days, brush yourself off, and try again.

Sometimes it takes a few tries to get the dosage right, but it will work!
I know how frustrating it is though!
