HSG timing and IUI?!
I have my HSG this coming Monday. I read they put a dye through to make sure the tubes are patent - Tuesday is CD10 and our RE is going to do a sono and if measurements meet our criteria we will do our IUI's that day and the following day. I am worried about how the dye may effect the baby if we conceive in those two days with the dye in there........RE said its 'no problem'
Any help would be great..

Re: HSG timing and IUI?!
The dye is totaally fine, they usually recommend BDing like crazy after an HSG cause it "cleans the pipes"!!!!
You'll be fine

Re: HSG timing and IUI?!
the dye is fine, most of it is gone within the first day. I had my HSG on Friday and was completely fine and all the dye was gone by Saturday morning.

Re: HSG timing and IUI?!
I can only share my personal experience - I had an HSG almost a year ago and we conceived DS two days later! The nurse at the HSG told me to go home and BD a lot b/c like the PP said, it "cleans out your pipes." Well, it worked for me after 13 cycles of bfn's, and my DS is absolutely healthy. good luck!

Re: HSG timing and IUI?!
I had my IUI the week after as well.
According to the RE, the only thing that would have stopped was if there was blockage.
