timing for IUI
I am scheduled for an HSG next Thursday and DH's male fertility specialist thinks I should do my first month of unmedicated IUI this month too. So how exactly does this all work? Do I start the ovulation kit and then tell my Dr when I get a postive OPK? Do I go for the IUI that day, or the next? I'm just not sure how this all goes down.

Re: timing for IUI
I had my first unmedicated IUI this month and I called the day I got my first peak OPK and they did the IUI the next morning (I also had a peak OPK the morning of the IUI) and then I would either come back the next day for another one (we are dealing with MF and the counts were very low) or just BD that night. We opted to BD that night. Good Luck this month!

So DH needs to "give a donation" that morning and then we BD again that night? Should we do it again the next few days too to up our chances?

I am sure it couldn't hurt to BD the next day or the day after!

Re: timing for IUI
When I did IUIs (I only did unmedicated), I ALWAYS went in for sonograms on CD 11. In addition, I temped/charted and used digital OPKs. I got PG in 3 out of 5 unmedicated IUI cycles all of which were back to back. The OPKs and my temperature rises were in perfect synch each time as well. HOWEVER, I did not always ovulate on CD 11. Sometimes they set me up with an IUI for the next day depending on the follie size, sometimes they said to wait. Good luck.
