As a manager, I would want to know if my employee disrespected someone and I would handle it as I saw fit- if it was the first time that he did this, he probably will get a warning
No one but his manager will have any idea if he has done this multiple times. And if its happened multiple times, it needs to be dealt with immediately
I say report it and just tell his manager that you are not looking for him to get fired, you just thought they should be aware.
I agree. I do think part of the issue was yours. It was an assumption on your part that he made a racist remark when he said you were the nanny. It may not have been because you are Hispanic. However, his response was COMPLTELY out of line & inappropriate.
