Dumb Nurse Read Wrong Chart and gave me wrong info
I went for my appt yesterday and I know I am 29 weeks.
i walk in and they say "oh--you are 31 weeks"..and I argue and say "29"
Then they tell me my due date is 3/6...I am like NO ...its 3/23
I tell them "if my due date changed the dr NEVER told me"
Then they keep going on until I look at the chart and it is for a jennifer---but NOT this Jennifer!!!!
It was another girl named Jennifer due 3/6
I almost had a heart attack

i was...and it turns out I heard the dr saying that the other jennifer needed to be called and explained what happened...i guess patient confidentiality breach

Me too!!
This happened at my 12 week ultrascreen. After my sono, the Dr. comes in, sits down and says to my husband I and..."So, yes, the baby does have 5ths diease" Being very new pregnancy I had no idea what that was, or that it was something I was even being tested for. So I start to panic and my husband and I start asking what that is, how it affects the baby, etc. The Dr. kept looking at us like we had 2 heads and says "you don't know what you are being tested for?" So I tell her we were there for the 12 week NT Ultrascreen. She looks at the file and says "oops, they gave me the wrong chart"  I was furious!

OMG that is just sloppy and unacceptable!!! I would be so mad! Guess HIPPA doesn't mean a lot...

I'm sure it was stressful at the time, but at least it was fixed long in advance of any real complications. Medical professionals are only human....clerical errors can be made. So long as it's fixed, I wouldn't give it another moment's thought.

Something like that happened at my last appointment. The midwife came in & said "Well your urine looks all clear." I said "Oh good!" thinking she meant there was no proteins or anything like that. SHe then went on to ask what symptoms I was feeling so I told her that I'd been feeling pretty good just the usual aches & such. She then asked me what made me think I had a UTI. I think the look of confusion on my face tipped her off that she had walked into the wrong room 
I think I would've  too if I thought my due date had been bumped up two weeks without my knowledge!
