How upset would you be if....now with pic- UPDATE
you took your cat to the groomer- asked for a lion cut
explained what you meant by a lion cut
were told it wouldn't be a problem
and they pretty much just shaved your cat?
and when you picked him up- they were yelling at him and he was covered in another animals fur?
of course the owner wasn't there- I took my tip back
my poor pokey- waiting for the pic to upload from my blackberry

I know what a lion cut is- my cat gets one 3 times a year and looks quite cute
but I went to a new place because I moved back to long island-
he has no mane
his tail is a mess- no poof
and his boots are hardly showing

OMG Poor Pokey - he is always adorable, but he looks mad about his new cut too! I would be mad too, a lion cut is so common, how could they mess up so badly?

well I just called the owner
and he YELLED at me
he said I embrassed his customers and his worker...the one who did that
that I acted crazy- I guess when I asked for my money back holding my cat that was crying and covered in black fur
so he wont give me my money back b/c I didn't act like a lady
The name of the place is the The Show Dog "Artistry in Grooming" in Wantagh
he was also selling puppies- yorkies, Bichons and poodles- I suspect they are puppy mill dogs- 5 in a cage- it made me uneasy from the minute I walked in - I would love to investigate this if anyone knows how to go about it

Take as many pics as possible of your kitty and file a complaint with both the Department of Consumer Affairs and with the local SPCA. I'd also hit up the ASPCA and see if there are any other complaints against them for the dogs they sell. Dogs sold in pet stores are PM or BYB dogs - period.
I am sorry you had to go through that and I hope your cat is OK

Oh and this is BS. Your cat and you were tramautized. WHo the EFF is he to judge your lady-like manners.
Sorry but this guy sounds like a piece of work. Are the groomers certified? Did they require proof of vaccination before you would take your cat there? Just trying to think of some more concrete items that you can file complaints about.

Poor Pokey... He looks so disheveled.. I would definitely complain and report them to whoever you have to.. I can't believe the owner yelled at you and wouldn't give you your money back bc you didn't act like a lady.. WHO says THAT?? @sshole
