How soon for maternity clothes??

So I am going to be 8 weeks on Sunday and I know it's too early to buy Maternity clothes, but I swear this whole week I look like the HULK in some of my work shirts and all of the pants are leaving marks on my stomach.

I know it's just bloat, but I'm concerned people are going to start suspecting.

1 of the reasons I don't wanna give in to Maternity yet is cause I'm a typical worried every day of 1st trimester chick and I'm afraid if I buy maternity clothes, then I'm jinxing myself or something. Is that nuts?

What have you ladies done for first trimester??

Fortunately for me I get to wear scrubs to work. So i dont really have to worry about maternity clothes for work. I didnt start really needing them till about 16 weeks and this is my second baby. I say if you need them and are very uncomfortable get yourself some. Your not jinxing anything

I bought the belly band and that held me over and still does. I just dont button my pants, the band holds them up and I wear oversized sweaters. I'm 12 weeks now and I just ordered my first pair of maternity jeans and a few shirts online although I won't be fitting into any of them now.

ugh, i know how you feel! I was so bloated in the first few months and everything felt tight and uncomfortable. I did a lot of loose tunics, shirt dresses + leggings. Another good camoflauge is a dark dress under a blazer. Sometimes I left the back of the dresses unzipped

I think i bought my first maternity items at around 12 weeks but it was just a few cardigans from old navy which were too big and made me look frumpier. I've since filled them out better

This is my second pg and I am 10 weeks and now in maternity pants. Last pregnancy I made is 16 weeks. I just gave into the maternity clothes, I couldn't stand struggling to button my pants.

I went and bought some maternity clothes around 8-9 months, because my regular clothes were leaving marks on my belly, like you are experiencing, and it was really uncomfortable.

I say go out and buy a pair of pants at least. I bought the low-rise jeans first, from Old Navy, and at 5 months I am still wearing them just fine with a pretty good sized bump...but they were very comfortable back then and I was glad I bought them!

I wore lots of dresses & skirts my first (and second) trimesters. Most of the dresses had empire waists and the skirts were elastic, so there was some give. I did go out and buy some low rise maternity pants because I was afraid I would wake up one day and have nothing to wear to work, which was a good thing because that's exactly what happened. You can also try the belly band.

I bought a few things at 7 weeks for an event. At that time I was bloated and felt disgusting. I'm glad I did, because even now at 37 weeks I'm still wearing the stuff, so I think I've definitely gotten a lot of use!

5 weeks.
Im a big girl and the belly band was not working for me. So Ive been in maternity clothing since 5 weeks and Ive never been more comfy.

I tried not to wear maternity clothes until after 10 weeks because I was afraid to jinx it! But by week 9 I gave up and started with Maternity jeans. Best idea ever!!

I was fortunate to last until around 18 weeks with pregnancy. I don't think I will be so lucky next time around. Of course, not all my pants fit but with the different cuts I was able to manage. I used the belly band also.

As silly as it may seem, wearing maternity clothes was the easiest to dress. I hate getting dressed for work and it was a breeze when I was pregnant. I've adopted some of my dressing paterns from pregnancy to now. I hate clothes and shopping!

I bought them by 10/11weeks. I need pants!Shirts were fine, but I couldnt fit into my jeans and needed new pants. The pants grow with you, so I'd get pants now.

I wore the belly band until about 16 weeks. I am 39w1d today and I am SOOOOOOO tired of maternity clothes. I can't wait to be back in my regular clothes. If you are uncomfortable then go for it but just remember you will be wearing them for a long time.

With my first pregnancy I just bought the bella band until about 16 weeks. Then I went out and bought maternity clothes. I hated that bella band. I really should of bought maternity pants sooner.

This time I started wearing maternity around 12 weeks. I didn't even bother with the bella band. If you need to buy clothes, go for it. You will need them, so there is no problem buying them early to be more comfortable.

With #1, I broke out the bella band by 9 or 10 weeks. I also bought a few things in a size up to get me through the bloating for a while. I was in maternity pants by 15 or 16 weeks.

I just got my BFP for #2 and I'm so bloated right now. I'm worried my pants are going to be too tight soon. They definitely start to get a little uncomfortable by the evening.

I highly recommend getting a belly band! I got one black Bella band and it has gotten me through many weeks at work. I'm 20 weeks and still use it if I want to wear my gray slacks because unfortunately they don't seem to make the nice maternity pants in lengths.
I would say I wore my first maternity pants around 14-16 weeks. I got big fast but that belly band was a miracle.

Im 15 weeks yesterday and tried to put on my jeans but even with the belly band wont be comfortable anymore.

im with twins and i needed maternity pants by 10 weeks

now im 13 weeks and i need pretty much anything maternity

i am also anal about clothes fitting properly so many of my pre pregnancy clothes were not cutting it.
i feel SO much better in maternity clothes- also much more flattering!
