How soon can you see the heart beating?
How soon can you see the heart beating? I am going on Monday to RE for more blood monitoring and a sonogram. I want to know what I can expect at 5-6 weeks. Do you think I'll see anything so soon?
My regular OB/GYN won't even give a sonogram until 8 weeks b/c the chances are so small of seeing anything at all.
Did anyone see a heartbeat at less than 8 weeks?

Based on my LMP, I was 8 weeks at my first sono, but the baby was measuring 7 weeks. I saw the heartbeat then. I think 6 weeks is probably the earliest you could see one. Don't worry if you don't see the heartbeat though. It should definitely be there by 7 weeks.

I think the earliest is 7 weeks. Any earlier and you may not see anything.

I saw the heart beat at 7 weeks. I was told that the baby was measuring at 6 weeks. I need to go back and have another sono on Tues. to check the growth.

6 weeks with a top of the line machine! if not, it takes a bit longer , maybe 8 weeks

We did NOT see it at 6w3d and I freaked out. Went back at 7 weeks and it was there so it all depends on the baby.

We saw the heartbeat at 5w5d.
Us too, 5w3d, BUT it was a brand new sono machine at a specialist. I never saw anything that early at the OB.
