When does the heart start beating?
So I am confused as all new mommies 2 be are
When does the heart start beating? Will I be able to see if on Feb 5th (I am 5 weeks 1 day today .

I had a sono at 6 wks 2 days and I saw the heartbeat. Today I had another sono at 10 wks 1 day and I saw the heartbeat, but my Dr said I wont be able to hear it until about 12 wks.
So...I'm sure you will be able to see it when you go...

ps - I was so nervous today...I think its normal to feel some anxiety! Thankfully, everything was fine!

I saw the HB on an internal sono at 5w3d. We did not hear it until 10 weeks.

I read an article today that said at 5 weeks. most "see" it in a sono at 6 weeks, usually isn't "heard" until 12 weeks [via doppler].

They say it starts beating at 5 weeks and I saw it for the first time at 7 weeks and 1 day.

I had my first sono at 6wks, 5days and saw and heard NOTHING!! went back 2 wks later and saw everything! The baby was moving all over and the heart was a mile a minute! So don't get nervous if you don't see anything at 6 weeks!!!!!!!
