How old was Ds the first time you left him for an overnight trip?

We have a wedding in July, and DS will be 7 months. It is July 4th weekend, and an hour and a half from home, if I picked him up that night, it likely wouldn't be until 1-2 am...so we may as well just spend the night near the reception hall...

He would be with family, but I am hesitant to have him away for an overnight...am I crazy?

I hear ya! My DD will be 4 months and I am going to a bachelorette party overnite 5/15. Leaving her with DH but sick to my stomach about it!

3 months. Yes, you are crazy go and enjoy yourself. Space is needed sometimes.

we went away for 2 nights, left DS with my mom, he was 2 months old.

I was really hesitant at first. Your not crazy.
For months I couldn't decided if I wanted to do it, I have at least 3 posts here and prego boards asking for advice. I am BF too, to add to the complication.

In the end I went, and it was the hardest night for me, I missed him so much. I had my mom send me hourly txts on what he was doing. The second night, I mellowed out a bit and got some rest

at about 4 months...DH and I went to the hampons for 3 nights. It was hard at the time, but looking back i'm glad i went..i really got re-charged.

7 weeks-we went to a wedding and my mom watched him.

13 weeks - my parents watched him overnight while we went out with friends. He now stays there once a month. They love having him and we enjoy a night to ourselves! It's a win-win situation

I haven't left him yet (almost 8 months). I was waiting till he slept through the night. Now that he is, I have nothing that I need to go away overnight for!

about 1 month old I had a lot of weddings right after he was born

My kids are 2 and 3 1/2 and I haven't left them overnight yet.

We are leaving him at 6 months to go to a wedding as well.

He'll be with my parents and we won't be that far (but, we're treating ourselves and spending the night at the hotel to get a night "off")

DD is almost 14 months and still haven't left her overnight.

4 months. We left DD with my mom because we had a wedding in Kentucky.

3 1/2 months I left DS overnight. I was sad for a hot second until I realized I got to sleep in and not wake up at 4 am to feed him.

I had a GREAT time out and felt rejuvenated when I saw my DS.

I had to go to AC for work so instead of leaving dd with my parents, i brought my parents and dd with me lol

Same situation but DS will be 9 months and that will be the first time... 7/3

We had a late party last weekend - left DD at my mom's for a sleepover. All went well (or at least that's what she told me!)

DD was 6.5 months

Ds is 6 months, and have not left him over night yet. I do however have a AC trip planned in August and he will be staying with my mom.

29 months and we still have not, but we don't have family we can leave him with overnight.

Enjoy yourself! At 7 months, DC will be fine--it gets harder as they get older. I understand your hesitation, but DC will be fine so have fun!

In July I have a bachelorette party for one of my best friends on Fire Island. I am going to stay for 1 night (maybe 2 if all goes well). The baby will be with DH so I Feel comfortable, DD will be 11weeks.

5 weeks - was in a wedding in Atlanta - left her with MIL. It was really good for us to get away and get some rest though we were quite worried. I also just recently left her for a work thing for a few nights at 3 months - it was much harder to leave her now, but I also relaxed more while away this time. You should go - your DS will be fine.
