2X a day- I recently put down some grass seed in some bald spots.
ETA: 10 minutes in each zone

Very rarely. Honestly, I think I have only turned the sprinkler on once.
I am "training" the grass to grow longer roots. We have been getting enough rain each week - the grass should get about 1in. of water a week, including rain. This will help the grass grow long roots, so that it will "beat" the weeds in the quest for water.... It takes a couple of years to train though.
Same for us. It seems to be growing too quickly, so we're mowing 2x a week right now. We water the plants and bushes and thus the lawn gets wet.

We go by the 1"/week rule too. And we only water really early in the morning or late in the evening...otherwise much of the water gets lost to evaporation and it's a waste.

We have our sprinkler system set for daily at 4am for 15 minutes. It has a "rain sensor" so it won't come on if there is a lot of water in the earth.

We have IGS and they are set for twice a day (as per the request of our landscaper). They go off at 7 am (before the heat of the day) and again at 7pm (after the heat has passed but before sundown).

Here in NC, we're on water restrictions. So we have our irrigation set to go off at 4am on Thursdays and Sundays. It seems to be just enough.

all 7 zones will run for 10 minutes each starting around 5 am.

We do the same - 7 zones, 10 mins each zone.
It's funny...the previous owner had lawn care service from TrueGreen, the guy keeps coming by to analyze our lawn... he recently left a write up saying we should be watering our lawn 45mins to 1 hour every day...
So much for the company being "green"

We don't water at all.
If and when it starts to lose color, luckily it rains.
We don't water either and it's a beautiful green color and growing super fast so I guess we get plenty of rain here. We've been in the house 3 years and I can probably count on two hands the # of times we've watered.

When we watered every day, we found mushrooms in the lawn
