how often do you see and talk to your bestfriends?

I'd like to see responses from those with kids and those without! obviously,having kids makes a big difference.
I am quite curious!

Have you noticed a difference since you got married? have you been able to see/talk to your bestfriend as much?

I used to speak to my bestfriend on a daily basis now its every few weeks.
and we've seen eachother 4 times since jan. and that was b.c it was for our birthdays and a baby shower.

Freckles and I (my bff) talk all the time whether it's on Gchat or on the phone but with our busy schedules and with me being in Sayville and her in Bayside it's hard to get together often which is a bummer but we still have a great friendship!

ETA: We are both married but neither of us has kids...yet.

I don't have kids!

I talk to my best friend everyday but I only see her every few months since she lives in FL (I'm actally going to visit her this weekend )

My other close friends I talk to at least 3-4 a week and I see themonce evry week/once every other week

ETA- We are both married (our husbands are actaully best friends as well- my Dh and I introduced my BF to his BF), and neither of us have kids yet.

dont have kids yet, talk to them almost everyday, see them every few weeks tops

I did notice a change though after getting married but alot changed in my life with DH and his job and things I needed to be there for him, and I just never switched back to calling them all the time or seeing them as often.

ugh! i know this is just 2 responses but my skin is boiling! there is no reason we should go a few weeks without talking to eachother.
i get so angry!

life outside of marriage is possible!

Sinced having kids we see eachother
A LOT less
but still talk a couple of times a week.

Well I used to have 2 best friends but once I had my daughter they pretty much split ! my one ex BF I havent talked to in yrs and my other ex BF I havent talked to in mnths and didnt come to my wedding

I have no kids
Sometimes I talk to my best friend a few times a day and sometimes we don't speak for a couple of days (when we're busy) We see eachother at least once a week to catch up for coffee :)

But this could also be b/c her boyfriend is in the army so we're only working around one persons schedule

Lesse (my bff, Lisa) and I talk a lot. She left me and went to NJ.. hee hee kidding kidding Lee.
We def. see each other less but we make time for each other. Our everyday phone convos have slowed down but that is kind of my fault..

Public apology!!! I have been so mia lately as I have just had so much yucky stuff going on I haven't wanted to call just to chat about me and what stinks for me..

But yeah.. it changed after we got married.. but that is supposed to happen. We aren't in high school anymore! We have a friend who just doesn't get this If we were the same people we were in h.s. there would be something wrong with us!! Love ya Lisa!!!

I hate hate the phone so I wont ever call you EVER.. But I will communicate any other way

and I have a 4mt old.. and 99.9% of my friends are single..

No kids for any of us, but we've all just bought homes so things have gotten quite busy.

We email/text each other all the time. We unfortunately don't see each other as much as we would like. Maybe once every few months, if not longer.

I know I'm a bad friend - I'm horrible with picking up the phone and calling people and I will drop by the house "unannounced" if I'm in the neighborhood.

Yeah, I'm a PITA, but I will ALWAYS have their backs.

I talk to my bff everyday either by phone, IM, LIF.

We live about an hour away from eachother so we don't get to see eachother that often. Now that my son is in school I'm on his schedule.

I'm not married but my closest friends are...my best friend is married with a baby..we talk almost every day at least on line ..and we see eachother almost every sat. My other close friends that are married i talk to every day online as well and see them usually every tues. so yea its possible when your married.!!

eta: I actually see my single friends less than I do my married ones ..Figure that one out lol

the person i consider my "bestest" friend lives in West Virginia--so its few and far between when we see other other.

my "local" best friends......1 couple DH and i hang out with about 1x a month--in the summer a few times. they have kids so they are always busy. usually we go to their house to chill for a barbecue.

my other best friend...i probably talk to her just about everyday on instant messenger when she gets out of work---and ocasionally on the wknds. we GTG probably 2-3x a month depending on how busy things are. but we try and chill out for 'fight nite' at their place whenever we can!

I used to talk to my best friend every single day, but then she started dating someone, and it turned into once a week, then once a month...then I moved out of state...I think I have spoken to her twice since I moved in Novemeber, and when we did talk, all we talked about was her boyfriend

I talk to my best friend about once a week on the phone for a long time. Wish I could see her more but we both have crazy busy schedules and live about 2 hours apart. She is like my sister though, so even though it's not as often as I'd like she'll always be my bestest.

My other best friends I talk to here and there a couple of times of week on email and texts and phone.

I am married but do not have children...

I speak to my best friend about 2-3 times a week and we have a weekly "date" on Thursdays. If something comes up on a Thursday we try to change it to another day.

We do couple things (her dh and my dh were in the same fraternity and were friends in college) on Fridays usually or sometimes Saturdays about once a month...give or take...

My other friends who I consider close- we talk about 1x a week- but two are out of state and the other is just always busy with something- but we talk often.

I talk to some frequently and to others I can't be bothered with. The truth is that once you get married and have kids, things do change.

I have kids- and most of my girlfriends moved away in the last 4 years. I still speak to my best friend from childhood a few times a week adn I see her once every 2 weeks or so.

Before kids: When all my friends were single but me, I would speak/see them every few days.

Once they started pairing off, less frequently.

Once I had DD, it became much less frequently. However, now I speak adn see my sister who also has kids and lives in my neighborhood much more often.

Why don't you plan a weekend to get together with each other just to catch up. I'm sure she feels the same way you do.
