How often did/does your dr do sonograms?

Seems some of our drs barely do them, others get them often.

How often did your dr do an ultrasound on you?

Some doctors do more sonos than others...i have had a lot... 6W, 8W, 12W, plus the ultrascreen... and he did another on when i got the results from the ultrascreen on the 30th because i asked if i could quickly see baby and he did it. Plus i'll have another for the AFP at 17W

we did the 7wk heart check and then another at 12 weeks, then i think 20 week.

AFter that i had a bunch b/c of being GD with my dd they had to make sure she wasnt getting to big. But normally i dont think many docs. do alot of sonos.

eta: my sils doc told her in a suttle way.. if you want more sonos.. just say you have "cramping".. that way insurance will cover it.

my doctor is the opposite, I'm 20 weeks and I think I've had 4/5 already, almost every appt he has done one...
My doctor is the only doctor in the practice so that might be why.

I do notice that a lot of girls say their doctors don't like to do them as often.

I think i have had one for every visit except 2- but i had a placenta previa, so they wanted to keep checking that and now the baby is breach, so once the placent moved, i kept having them so they could see if the baby moved...

I had one at 7/8 weeks to hear the heartbeat, at 11 weeks b/c of a bleeding scare, at almost 13 weeks for the ultrascreen, and at almost 16 weeks for an anatomy scan. The only other one I'm having is a growth sono at around 33 weeks.

At the RE I had one at 5.5, 6.5, 7.5 and 8wks.
At the OB I have had one at 8wks, 9.5wks (because of some spotting), and 11.5 weeks. My next one will be at 19 weeks, I don't know how it works after that.

I started at an RE so I had sonos at:
5w5d
6w5d
7w5d

At 8 weeks I was released to my OB and had sonos at:
12 weeks - Ultra Screen
19 weeks - Level II (baby did not fully cooperate)
21 weeks - Level II (repeat)
28w4d - Growth sono (I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes so they wanted to check the baby's size)

1st u/s was at 10 weeks

1st level II was at 17 weeks (due to a blood disorder that I was diagnosed with, the maternal fetal medicine specialist ordered an early level II)

2nd level II at 20 weeks

and growth sono at 37w, 2d (cause I was measuring big)

My doc is pretty conservative with sonos.

I have had three:
8w
13w (ultrascreen, and this is because I asked for it - she didn't think it was necessary based on my lack of risk factors)
18w (level II)

If all goes well, this might be it for me. I have a feeling I will have at least one more though...I'm not gaining any weight so doc said she might want to check in on him in a little while longer to make the growth is okay.

I had my 1st at 8 wks then my ultrascreen at 13 wks and my level II at 21 weeks that would be the end till my growth one at the end of my pregnancy but since my level II wasnt complete Im haveing another at 25 weeks

With DD I had more because I had complications due to fibroids- I think I had 6 total.

This pregnancy I had one at 8w, at 16w (amnio) and I suppose a growth sono at the end.

BUT my OB's *regular* schedule for typical pregnancies (no amnio):
8w
12w(ultrascreen)
17-20wk (anatomy)
36w (growth)

My doctor does a sonogram everytime..it nice because I get to see every two weeks now...

my sisters Dr did them at every office visit.

For my Dr, the norm is every trimester but I have had 2 or 3 more bc I had some bleeding in the beginning and some wierd pains in the second tri

My next will probably be the Level II at 20 weeks.

I only had 2 or 3 at my regular doctor's office. I am considered high risk (due to age and complications I faced during my pregnancy with my son) so I have also had 3 or 4 at the high risk doctor. Over all I have had 6 or 7 sonograms. I am 29 weeks.

6- 8 weeks to check the heart beat
This time int he beginning I had a few internal sonograms in the beginning. Probably about three.

12 weeks
20 weeks
32 weeks

I have only had 2. I may get one more toward then to check/measure fluid levels, but that would be it. I'm on the lesser # end of the spectrum for sure.

I have only had 2. one @ 9 weeks & one @ 12 weeks. My next sono is next week @ 19w3d for my Level II.
