How much time do you spend with your Girlfriends

I would make a poll but I have NO idea how


How much time do you spend with your Girlfriends? Do you all still plan trips with each other? concerts? random nights? I am interested based on some feedback I received from friends who don't do much and think I do too much. My Husband is overly supportive so I wonder if maybe I do too much?

I tend to have plans at least 1-2x per month with my friends on the weekend. We will plan movies, dinners, concerts and every few months we all go to AC. I am the first with a baby although almost all of my girlfriends are married. During the week DH works until 7:30 so if I go out to dinner or see a friend, I bring DS...

Honestly, neither of us sees our friends very often, outside kids' parties and stuff like that.

I try to go out with a group of former and current coworkers at once a month or every other month.

DH will go out with coworkers every once in a while.

I never really traveled with my friends before. Most of my closest girlfriends live out of state and almost of us have kids.

I go out with my friends once or twice a month. But I see some of them way more than that. My BFF, for example, I see 2-3 times a week sometimes, and some other friends I will meet once a week for coffee. Before getting PG with # 2, I had a standing date with another friend to go to the gym one night a week. I spend lots of time with my friends, it just isn't always at a bar or other social setting.

Fairly often. We try to get together once a week or every other and have wine or dinner. I go to the gym with some of my friends and we also have play dates with the kids.

My bff lives upstate so we see each other 4 times per year if we're lucky.

My other gfs we get together for dinner once per month.

Our friends (me and DH) - we play vball on a league once per week. We'll get together probably once per month as well to go out.

I also play on a diff vball league and a softball team.

We are EXTREMELY lucky babysitting-wise and I am EXTREMELY lucky husband-wise.

DD is 1 & a half & I've only gone out 2 or 3 times.
It's pretty pathetic!
DH works so much that the random night he is home, I'm too exhausted to do anything.
I could definitely use a night out!

DS is only a month old and I am supposed to go out with my girlfriends on Friday but with the snow I don't know if that is going to happen. I am honestly very upset about it too. I could go for a girls night. My girlfriends and I go on girls vacation once a year. I would like to keep that going but we will see.

Rarely....out of my 5 best friends (we have been friends since grade school) two work nights, one lives in the city and two live out of state now. We just can't seem to ever make it work between, school, kids and travel. We talk often, but actually see one another, very rarely.

We have other friends, but they aren't more social friends than true really good friends, so I (we) don't really make all that much of an effort to get together.

We did recently plan a roadtrip to one friends home and surprised her for her birthday and just showed up at her front door without her knowing which was awesome!

When I still lived in Manhattan, I saw girlfriends all the time. Most of my gfs were not parents. I worked in midtown and lived in the UES. I would meet my friends for lunch a few times a week. When I only had one child, DH and I would take turns going out with our friends. I would meet up with them after the kids went to bed or when DS#2 was born, I'd take him out on a stroller walk while hanging out with my friends. I'd go get mani/pedis, etc.

We moved down to the DC area last year. Now the only friends I have are mommy/family friends. We rarely go out sans kids. I probably go out once a month maybe without the kids. It is always a family affair.

The only times I did anything with girlfriends was for wedding festivities. I was in 2 weddings last year and traveled to Chicago, NYC and Vegas.

I see my best firiend at least twice a month, my other friends when we can get together, most of us have kids so we tend to try together alot, more so over the summer so we can met at the park and stuff

I see my friends often, but we usually have our kids with us. We do nights out once every or every other month. I don't work in the summer, so I spend even more time with friends then. We aways plan a night in Newport in the summer and Foxwoods in December for the holidays. Then we take about 2 trips a year with our husbands and kids too.

Not as much as I would like. I wish I could say 1-2 times per month but lately it just seems its harder and harder due to schedules. In my opinion you dont go out too much. Maybe those friends that say that are jealous? I mean i am! Lol jk

Without kids prob once a month to once every two months, and that is with other mom friends I have. With my friends pre mom, hardly ever. They do not live on the island, and they do not have kids, so my schedule doesn't work with theirs much. I was in a couple weddings this year so did some traveling with them, but I think it's turning into one of those fading out friendships because we all have such different schedules and lives right now, and the distance makes it even harder.

We try to get together about once-twice a month. I am also the first one with a child. All my other friends are married. I think they are starting to plan to get pregnant soon-within the next few years. They met us in AC last month for a surprise 30th for me. Mainly we just do dinner or well go out for someones birthday or a random night out. Definitely not as much as we did before we were married

I go out with my best friend once every 2 to 3 months.
I have other friends who have kids who I see more often.
I work full time, actually super full time, so any day I'm off is precious family time.

I would never go away with my girlfriends now that I have DD
I work full time so any trips will be with DH alone or DH and DD.
Those days are over and I honestly have no desire to do girl trips anymore.

We might have some dinners out or maybe meet up for happy hour after work one in a while etc- but all in all, I was never the type for girly stuff. Like mani/pedis and gossiping. SOOOO not my thing.
I'd rather get together with the girls and their SO's- girls and guys night out.

I'm assuming you mean without kids , so rarely. My bff has a daughter about the same age as mine so we try to get together with the girls maybe once a month but even that is tough. I don't think I've gone out with friends without DD in the 9.5 months since I had her. I admittedly have some separation anxiety. I do have an evening planned for next month with my coworkers who I haven't seen much since I'm on maternity leave. So ask me next month and hopefully the answer will be at least once a year!

friends with kids, we have playdates together. not really that often recently though, usually in the nicer weather.

my teacher friends, i don't really see during the school year, but during the summer we get together all the time.

Very little. I might make a lunch plan with one on a weekend, or take a quick shopping trip, but that's rare. Even before DD, DH and I did most of our socializing with other couples. I never had a group of girlfriends who I hung out with regularly or ever went away with. My 3 closest girlfriends are all from different parts of my life.

Rarely...I have 2 kids & work FT. My bff just had her 3rd kid & we try to get together, but she lives 40 min. away & between naps, school, etc. we're lucky if we get to see each other every 3 months In a few years that will change, but for now it is what it is...

My other close friends & I really only talk on Facebook now. One moved to NC & the others all moved 30+ min. & thanks to work, kids, etc. we could never coordinate our schedules. A few years of that & we're not really close any more

I'm usually too busy to notice most of the time, but every now & then it starts to bother me that I don't have any close girlfriends that I can just call up & say "hey - lets go get a drink/have dinner/see a movie."

I'm very lucky that I made a few mommy friends recently so we hang out with our babies about once a week. My CF friends maybe once a month, but I almost always bring DS with me, so no bars or anything like that.
