How much time did u take off for ivf
Just wondering how many days I am going to need off? Is there extreme discomfort during this process? Thnx!

i didnt plan to take off any except the day of the ER and the day of the ET. my ER was on a friday and WOULD NOT have been able to go to work the next day - I developed mild OHSS and was hugely bloated. i did go in monday and tuesday before my ET. it was difficult. i ended up taking off the rest of the week for the ET and a few days after. it wasnt mandatory but my RE said if i could manage to make it work then he would recommend it.

I think it depends on which days your ER and ET are... for this cycle, I had my ER on a Thursday and I was okay to go to work the next day. My ET was on a Saturday and I definitely needed the next day to relax at home, but luckily by Monday I was feeling better. I just took it easy at work that day.

Mine is tentatively scheduled for ER on mon and ET on a Thurs. Do many end up on the schedule of the ivf calendar or does it usually deviate?

my stim took a few days longer than what was on my calendar. i think it was originally supposed to be a wednesday and my actual ET was a friday. but i had a sluggish start to the stim so it wasnt really a surprise. the calenders are just guesses, it all depends how your body reacts.
we planned on doing a 5dt and we did, but that will also depend on how your embies do, unless your Dr. prefers 3dt.

Unless the ER/ET fell on a weekend, I only took off those two days. I never needed any other time.

I took off 3 days after my last transfer. Technically you only really need the day of ET and day of ER, but this time I took DHs advice instead of DH and did A LOT of laying aroung in my 2ww.

Same here. But, I only had a few eggs retrieved each time and didn't have any discomfort at all.

I had 20 eggs the first time and 15 eggs the second. In both cases I would not have been able to go back to work on the second day after ER. However, I do spend most of my day on my feet in my classroom.
As for ET, I usually take it easy that day.

I was given a doctors note to take off two days following my retireval and following my transfer. Other than that, I was sometimes late to work due to early morning appointments for bloodwork and sono, but didn't need any other days.

I planned on taking off only one day for my ER but I hyper stimmed so I took 3 days off because i was in pain and took two days after my ET my doctor said I needed the two days to be off my feet after the ET.
