How much is the average LI home inspection?
Just curious b/c the lawyer recommended someone who quoted us at $600. Just wanted to be sure that was about right or if I should shop around. TIA!

It depends on the size of the home. Mine cost $500.00
I have a two floor 4 bedroom 3 bath house on a 60X110 Two car garage.

ours was $750 but it's a large propety and not a small home
my first home (tiny property, small home) was 450

$500 if they are doing a termite inspection too
$300 if just home inspection, NO terminte

I would say between $400-$500
if you are getting an FHA loan be sure to get the teminte inspection - it's a requirement

Home Sweet Home Inspections, Inc 631-924-2523, Joseph Cortese-he was great and very thorough.

I think we paid 500 inc termite. this guy is fantastic if you need someone. he is so thorough and explains everything as you follow him around LOL my BIL also used him!!!

ETA: I don't think our price included a termite but I think he threw in there because we did get a wood destroying insect report with ours...

aound $500 but most price it by the # of rooms or bedrooms
I used a great company when I was buying. I actually walked away from a house that looked amazing but was an electrical disaster. best $500 ever spent!! if you want their name FM me I can look it up
