Our stroller was $300, it is not a travel system so I also have my infant car seat separate. This is the only stroller I registered for. ANd honestly it was the first item purchased off my registry.

Please ---register for whatever u want. My Bugaboo was $750 and Maclaran was $200....Tell people who want you spend little money on a stroller to try walking around with a stroller that sux or wont move

Actually I did not register for any of the strollers I got. One was purchased by MIL and FIL, another one by three of my cousins, and DH and I purchased the other.
Register for whatever you want. Ignore your MIL. People will make comments regardless.
ETA: The strollers I got were not cheap and they were purchased without any complaints.

I'm in between the Quinny Buzz, which is $500 and the Bugaboo Gecko, which is in the $600's.
Ignore you MIL's comment. It shows a lack of knowledge in the current babycare industry. $330 is totally reasonable for a necessary object IMO. When will MIL's ever learn to just zip it!

We registered for the Peg Perego Pliko 3 (I think it's like $330) and the Graco Snugrider (for $60). I think we are going to throw a light umbrella stroller on there at some point as well.
I do not think your stroller choice is overpriced at all!!!!

$60 snap n go.
The Chicco just happened to be the one I liked best. I was willing to go up to $300 and change.
