How much is / are your stroller(s)?
MIL looked at our registry last night and her only comment ( ) was how much our stroller was and how "surprised" she is by the price. I thought we did very well with picking a middle of the road (price-wise) stroller, especially since I registered for only 1.
How much is the stroller your registered for? If you registered for more than one and wouldn't mind, how much are they each + total? I just want to be sure we're not being ridiculous in semi-asking people to buy it for us. If it's that bad, we'll just take it off the registry and buy it ourselves.
TIA
(I don't want to post my price / stroller just yet, I don't want that to effect any of the responses.)

Re: How much is / are your stroller(s)?
The travel system we want will be around $300, I think. It isn't available yet. MIL already said she wants to buy it for us, and DH told her how much it is going for. She was fine with it-I think, lol. If no one buys it for us, we'll buy it ourselves.
I had a cousin who put 3 stollers on her registry, the jogger, a travel system and something else, and got all three. I was amazed.

Re: How much is / are your stroller(s)?
we registered for and received all of these at the shower:
graco infant seat and snap and go (the snap and go part I think was like $60)
peg perego pramette (I think it was like $480 or so)
and the maclaren (again, I think it was like $240)
I have a lot of friends who registered for bugaboos and other very expensive strollers and never thought anything of it...

Re: How much is / are your stroller(s)?
We registered for the travel system (infant seat and stroller). We got a snap and go from a coworker or I probably would have registered for that too. The travel system I think is about $250.

Re: How much is / are your stroller(s)?
My snap n go was $59.99 for the base and the infant car seat is $139.00 = $200
I also registered for the Maclaren Techo for $299.00
I think i made very reasonable choices considering what is out there.

Re: How much is / are your stroller(s)?
These strollers were given at my shower 4 years ago so maybe the prices have changed:
Travel System:$250 Baby Trend: $60 Heavy Umbrella (I purchased on sale a couple years ago) $50.

Re: How much is / are your stroller(s)?
We havent decided on a stroller yet, but we are going to be registering for the one we pick. One is $1200 with all of the accessories, and the other is $750.
Honestly, I have no quips about registering for either of them, its what my dh and I both want, and if they dont want to spend the $$ then they dont have to buy us that.
Register for what you want, if you register for something else based on the price you are not going to be happy with it.

Thank you for your replies.
We registered for the Bumbleride Flyer (no snap & go, no travel system, no umbrella stroller). It's $350 at BRU, $330 at BBB. That's not so horrendous right?
I'll just pass this off as another MIL-ism I guess

Re: How much is / are your stroller(s)?
My stroller is $139.99 (Graco Quattro Tour, Devon). The car seat is separate - $99.99. The Snap & Go is $59.99.
I would have registered for a more expensive stroller but this is just what we liked best.

That's totally not horrendous or even unreasonable!! The other one I was looking at was a peg perego which was somewhere in the $300-$400 range, and DH was setting his sights on a $600+ Mutsy! Don't pay your MIL any mind!

Re: How much is / are your stroller(s)?
I registered for the infant seat and snap in base, so that was about $160 and a Peg Perego Pliko3 for $330. These are the things I wanted because of how I thought they suited my needs and the good reviews I saw on them, not because of the price.
I registered for both strollers with the understanding that if people didn't want to buy them for us, we would pay for them ourselves and why not get the 10% off from the registry completion. I got the Peg from one very generous family member, but my friend got hers from 4 or 5 people who chipped in. No one is ever required to buy off your registry, so your MIL should just shut it, IMO.

Re: How much is / are your stroller(s)?
The travel system I chose is the Chicco for $279. I am also going to register for a lightweight Combi for $99. The way I look at it is nobody buys it because of the price...then I will. I know $300 is alot to expect people to spend so I won't be upset...I just don't want to have to settle on something I don't want.
I def woudn't take it off the registry because most places give you 10% off of items that are not purchased. At least you can get yourself a deal if you have to buy it yourself.

Think about your wedding registry, I am sure there were things on it that cost more, that you didnt NEED. You NEED a stroller.
How many people register for dysons?

Re: How much is / are your stroller(s)?
IMO a registry is for registering for what you want....doesn't matter the price. No one is obligated to buy you anything...if your MIL thinks the stroller is too expensive then I'm sure there are other items that she can choose from.

Sounds like my MIL. She commented on the price of the cribs we liked, which were only around $400- 500 for convertibles.
Thats not unreasonable, and if people think it's too much, then DON'T BUY IT!
I think ours is around $150, Chicco Cortina ( registered for carseat and stroller seperately since BRU didn't have the system on the site). I didn't even consider price, it's just the one we liked.
