how many trees do you put up?

Am I the only nut that puts up more than one Christmas tree? This year we have 3: one in the living room, one in the den and one in the sunroom.

DH thinks I'm crazy --- I can't be the only one can I? Please help me feel more normal.....

when i owned my own house, i had seven... mind you, this includes little table-top ones.

i loved having one in the living room, one in the family room, one in the sun room... and then the little ones.

they were all fake and i bought them over the years. it was perfect for displaying the special ornaments and the hand-made ornaments and the fancy ornaments.

my favorite was to light them all (white lights) and turn off all the other lights in the house. really made it feel like christmas to me.

can't wait to have my own place again to fill it with trees lol

Two- for the first time. We have our main tree and I have been wanting a woodland-animal themed tree for years and finally realized I could get a small fake one. It's 4 feet tall and now I am having trouble finding reasonably priced woodland animal ornaments.

Just one, but I have a feeling that eventually we'll have 1 or 2 more. I think my DH wants to put one in our BR. Maybe next year.

I barely get one up. It's an all day affair that I dread and dread even more taking it down a month later.
As of now my back is thrown out from doing it this weekend

There is no way in hell I'd do more than one.
Plus even if I wanted to, we have no space for it. We barely have space for one- have to move furniture around, it gets very tight and cluttered, and had to get a narrow tree to fit the only possible place for it.

Honestly before this board I never knew or heard of anyone in real life who had more than one tree

Just one but growing up my parents had two of them--one on the main floor and one in the basement (where they would host)

We have one 8' primary tree, then we have a 3' tree that has fiber optics and changes color, and we put a couple of decorations on.

We have one large 10 ft tree this year. It's real and just beautiful and so full. We have an open floor plan so this is all we need downstairs. In the future when my boys get a little older, I think about either putting small, fake trees in each of their rooms, or 1 larger tree in our additional living room upstairs.

Two. A twelve foot fake one in our entry way and a real one in the playroom/den which is where Santa leaves all the presents.

We live in a split so I feel like I like to have a tree on each level! Also, we collect Christmas ornaments.....we ran out of room on just one tree

we really only have room for one. I would love a bigger house to have an option for two. but one for now.

Two we have a high ranch so one up and and one down.

I did 2 for a few years, one in the living room and one in the playroom, but it got to be too much for me. Plus my dad lives in my playroom now, and he doesn't want a Christmas tree in there.

2, not including the kids' trees.

I have a pre-lit 8' tree in the dining room (so I can have it up for Thanksgiving.)

And we have a 10' real tree in the family room.


I've been looking at adding more, but I just don't have the space/location for them right now, but my husband knows that when we do the addition, there will be more trees. (My mom made a lot of beaded ornaments decades ago and I'd like to display them on a tree for the holidays.)

One in the living room, a real one with traditional decor.
One 3' table top tree in my dining room/den with a bird theme. It's little but it's my favorite.
One 18" one in the kitchen with tiny cooking ornaments and hot peppers on it.
One 3' tree in my bedroom with coordinating decorations.
One 3' in my basement with a music theme.

The 3 fake ones get put away in bags with the balls and lights still on. I am not crazy enough to keep decorating them.

We have one main one in the foyer where presents will go.

I also have 3 fake trees that we light up for decorations. One will go in this big window on the second floor that can be seen from the outside. Then I plan to put two trees on our front porch. I don't put ornaments on these trees, just lights.

I want to get another 1 or 2 for my formal living room and dining room

I bought the second tree the days after christmas so it was 75% off!

Two.

The main tree in the living room is 8' tall and has white lights and all red, gold and silver ornaments, and red and gold bows.

The second tree is the kids tree,5' tall and has colored lights and all the kids fun ornaments and keepsake ornaments they get every year. This is in the playroom in the basement, surrounded by all their stuff.

Santa only puts presents under the main tree in the living room though.

I have one and it is more than enough-DH has little interest in decorating the tree so it is all me.
