how many days a week
should you run?
I am just strating out. I can run 2 miles straight without stopping (thats the farthest I have ever gotten)
When I am done, my body ACHES so badly. My shins, my knees, even my groin.
I ce my legs when I am done, but I am wondering if I am over doing it.
So how many days a week should you run for weight loss?

Right now, since you are just starting out, no more than 3 days. You might even be overdoing it with 2 miles.
As you improve, you can add days and then add miles.

I agree with the PP that you may be overdoing it at this time. I think 3 days a week is sufficient but I would walk/run so that your body can get used to things a bit. I would walk a minute, jog 3-5 and repeat.

I think it's really important to listen to your body.
rest is just as important as running. that being said, once you get into running, you really only need to take one rest day a week or every 14 days (as long as you listen to your body)

At the beginning, I always gave myself a day of rest after each run. So I would run every other day. My body needed the break!
