How long will DH take off from work when baby is born?
Will he take off from the time you leave the hospital with baby or from the time you go into labor and for how long ? Not sure how to best utilize his vacation days.

He doesn't have a typical 9-5 work schedule, so, if he's in the middle of a work set (either 2 days or 3 days at a time) he will definitely take off the rest of that set, after which he'll be off for another 3 or 4 days. Actually now that I'm thinking about it he'll probably take the following work set off too. Which should work out to about a week and a half to 2 weeks total time that he'd be home (including regular off days).

Dh firm provides him with 2 weeks paid paternity leave so minimum he wil use that. Not sure if he will use vacation too but I'm thinkin may spread that out later on when I need help

While I am in the hospital for a few days, he will be at work. Then, my Mom will be here for the first week. DH takes the second week off to be with me and baby.

He will take one weeks when d.d arrives and a second week when i go back to work after 3 months. I dont want him burning all of his vacation days.

He will probably take a week or two. Our boss is very generous with things like that. But I told him to take time off once we are home from the hsp, not in the hsp.

He took off two weeks. He was off from the time I delivered (and DS was in NICU for 10 days) then went back to work before DS came home from NICU, but my mom was here helping too.

If DH doesnt work, he doesnt get paid so he will be taking minimal time unfortunately. He'll take the day I have my c section (Monday!  ), then work Tues and Wed while I am in the hospital. Then take off Thursday and Friday when we come home. Back to work the next Monday poor guy.

He has been saving time. I am hoping he will take off for their birth and then maybe go back to work until they come home from the hospital. Then I am hoping he will take 2 weeks off when all 4 of us are home from the hospital.

DH told me he plans to take off 10 days to 2 weeks, but I'm not sure if that's from the time I go into the hospital or when we get home.

We have not really decided how long but he has been saving his days so that he has good amount of time. Def one week or two but maybe longer. Also his manager told him he will throw in some free days, which is nice

He took off just the day of my c/s...our family of a million will be visiting 24/7 so he'll be with  and I everyday after work then he'll be taking off for a few days starting the day we go home so we're both home and comfortable together as a happy little family

With my DHs job, he gets a floating week of vacation for the birth. So DD was born on a Thursday night, he took a personal day for Friday, and had the whole next week off.

He'll take 2 weeks off at first then he gets a month of paternity!!!!! I'm super lucky. . .although with DS, by the end of his month paternity. . I was like PLEASE go back to work
