How do you pay of your credit card statement?

ETA:
For over 12 years I always paid the entire balance. But now that my employment situtation has changed we pay more than the minimum but not the entire thing.

That was a tough thing to accept after always being spotless in paying the entire thing each month!

The whole thing. I was pi$$ed that a few months ago, I had a big trip to Oregon, plus fairly big car repair, and I couldn't pay off the entire card at the end of the month. I wound up paying about $8 in interest this year.... I usually go several years without paying any interest.

if i can't pay the full amount, i try to pay half of the balance

I always pay the min. and then some. I rarely use my charge cards anyway.

Whole thing every month. We have AMEX; you have to pay the whole thing. Other than that, I have a card I use for little things but I always pay it off. Otherwise, I use my debit card. We don't believe in carrying balances. (If you don't have to....)

Entire bill (no matter how painful) is paid on time and in full, every month.

The entire amount. We say to ourselves the interest on something would not make it worth buying.

Depending on the income (self employeed) I always pay more than the minimum but when the large checks do roll in I pay the whole balances.

DH is paid on commission so sometimes it takes us a few months to pay balances in full. But we have 0% APR right now so we aren't paying interest. Our AmEx gets paid in full each month though. That one is painful!!!!

same here I pay the min and sometimes more depends on how the month is going.

We have one card that gets paid in full every month and another that was debt from years ago that we try to pay $100 more than the minimum every month.

I always used to pay the full balance, but things were easier then, I didn't have as many bills.



I always make sure to pay more than the minimum.

we pay the entire thing no matter what it is...Never leave a balance on our cards...

I always tried to pay in full. A couple of years back, I wasn't working that much and I started to pay the minimum on one of my credit cards. That was a big big mistake. I wound up paying so much interest, and my CC balance kept going up and up. I'm so glad that card is fully paid now. So my answer is Pay in Full!

last year was always pay in full
now its pay the min then some...
usually the mins like 80 ill pay 200-300 bucks
i had a few things we needed to buy (car downpayment and matress) so those went on there.. but once those are gone ill be super happy and back to pay in full

Entire balance every month.

We have one card with a balance on it, it's only 2.9% so we just pay the minimum, but we don't use that card at all.
