Re: how do you get everthing done?
I don't get anything done (as far as the house, chores, stuff for myself, etc) . I try to remember to pay bills (usually late) & take a shower which seem to be my must-do priorities at this point. Otherwise nothing gets done, it's just baby stuff all the time aside from work & commuting. DH helps out with laundry, dishes, that kind of thing, but the house is a mess & I forget to do stuff all the time.

how do you get everthing done?
We don't. Due to our schedules, we are rarely home as a complete family. I do laundry and grocery shop on the weekend mornings. Maybe do some light cleaning while DD naps (dusting/wiping down tables and countertops).
My house is cluttered. Floors need mopping. Our lawn is dead. The only flowers we have are dandelions!! I've needed a pedicure and a haircut for the past 4 months.
However if given the opportunity to clean the house or take my DD to the park--the park wins every time!

Re: how do you get everthing done?
I am home by 3:15 so that helps. On the weekends DH helps a lot with deep cleaning and other house work. It is a team effort bw the two of us it gets done. I work full time so no way I am doing all the house work and taking care of DS by myself.

how do you get everthing done?
After reading all of your posts I feel like a waste of life LMFAOOOO My GOD I don't get all of that done. Can I make believe your all exaggerating to sound like super women?
I work part time and we order out like 3 times a week LOL I do laundry in bulk and try to straighten up every night after my dd goes to bed, do dishes and so on. BUT there are nights Im shot and I just need to lay down. Do you ladies every sleep? I admire you ladies who work so much and still get it all done. I don't know if I could survive all that hustle and bustle. lol

Re: how do you get everthing done?
I am a SAHM and can barely get things done since I am living on my baby's nap and eating schedule, I can never just run out to a random store that I need something from, like cvs. I always have a fantasy that my dh will come home and I will run out to a store. But, by the time he gets home after 7, I am just too tired to move.
Anyway, if I really want my nails done or something, I coordinate my weekend schedule to have ds take his afternoon nap in the car, so dh will sit in the car with him and I will run out. Or, I will just run out alone on a sat. morning at 8:30am.
Just to add, I just reread some of the posts. Wow, the moms who work all day, then run around picking up kids and coordinating dinner, that is amazing that you have the energy to then clean.

Re: how do you get everthing done?
I work in NYC five days a week. Always have. Prior to having children I swore I would always have a perfectly clean home at all times and still have time to succeed at work, play with my children and have quality time with DH.
Then I had my first child and all that went out the window. It's a constant struggle for me to balance my desire for things to be perfect at home and at work....and not lose my mind and become a miserable person in the process.
For me, the key to this is prioritizing each day what absolutely has to get done and what can wait. I assume those things are different for everyone. I can leave a sink full of dishes overnight if it means more time hanging out with my family, but I don't hesitate to get out the vacuum if I feel the floor isn't up to my standards.
Striking this balance is by far the hardest thing I've ever encountered. Some days I succeed at the balance, some days I fail. I try to remember that every day is a clean slate and I'm doing the best I can. We all are.

Re: how do you get everthing done?
I don't
I guess I prioritize. My house is clean enough, we have food to eat, our clothes are clean, we are clean
Weeknights are really tough, I have taken to showering at night (which I HATE) so that I am not so crazed in the mornings.
My parents worked when I was a kid, and I don't remember whether my house was super clean, or who cooked dinner, I remember having a loving family, and that's what I try to give DS

how do you get everthing done?
I do shopping/errands during my lunch break. When I commuted, my train ride was my me time where I got to read a book and relax. We have a cleaning lady so that helps a lot. Most of the stuff gets done after DD is in bed. I do a lot of freezer and batch cooking so I don't have to waste time making dinner. I work from home now so I actually don't get a lot of me time. It's hard to change that mindset and I'm working on that.
