How do you do it?
How does everyone stay positive, without getting your hopes up??
im having a hard time staying positive since the chemical. but i know being negative all the time is not going to help things. I also dont wanna get my hopes up every month and then feel completely defeated if it doesnt happen.
any words of advice??
thanks!

Re: How do you do it?
This is only my 2nd month, but I don't know how to not get your hopes up. I am convinced I am going to get a BFP, but I was very convinced last month and didn't. For me, it is better to expect the best, than to spend the whole month expecting the worse. At least, if I am wrong, I am upset for a day or two and then a new cycle starts, rather than dreading the whole cycle expecting a BFN. I am a believer in positive thinking. Good luck!!!

That actually makes a lot of sense! i usually hope the worse so im not disapointed in the end, but if i hope for the best and im wrong its only a few days before we can start trying again!!

Re: How do you do it?
I know this sounds weird but I am a believer in everytime I have a plan, God is laughing at me. Therefore, I feel the months I do not get pregos there was a reason for it....I'll keep trying and it will come! to you!

Re: How do you do it?
I just focus on the future. With each passing day, I know I'm another day closer to trying again and hopefully soon getting another BFP.
When I look back at this past year, I still can't believe all that I have been trough... starting to see the RE.. going through 3 injectable IUI cycles to get pregnant.. making it to 17.5wks.. then losing my son and having to wait 8wks to start over
The only way to make it through is to stay positive that it WILL happen (again) and this time I'll make it full term with a healthy baby.
I just have to believe that. There's no other way. In the meantime, I try to focus on other things day to day... keep other goals in mind, things to look forward to .. .I try and focus on the things I DO have, like my amazing dh .. my health .. family ... cats... house.. and I know somehow things will fall into place and we'll healthy babies.
ETA: A bit unrelated to what I was saying- but in a book I was reading this week about fertility, it said to keep in mind that each month, there's like a 15% chance it will work.. so 85% it won't. I know that's horribly discouraging- but if you think about it, it's so true! Of course that doesn't make me feel better or anything but it does help to keep things in perspective so you don't get your hopes up. Of course, what person in their right mind is ttc and NOT getting their hopes up- at least a little
