How do I get him to take a pacifer?
DS doesn't take a pacifier - apparently that's what my chest is for. I have been trying to cut him off from nursing after 20 on each side b/c I can tell he is playing games or using me as a pacifier. Anything I can do to start making him suck on something else?

finding the right paci is a trial and error thing. i would buy a few different kinds and see which one he will take even for a few seconds. then you have to be persistent in offering it to him, and eventually he should take it.

ITA!
DD wouldnt take a paci for the longest time, she only wanted to comfort suck on me. I finally tried 4 different types before I found two paci's that she loves.

I agree with the PP but also I want to add that I had to be very persistant about it. my son is still not great with it but he takes it if he is upset or just needs to suck on something.
