How did you tell DH you were PG??

DH was there when I took the test.

But i always think getting congrats balloons and fill the room witha couple for when he comes home is a cute idea

Nothing fun here - I had a hard time figuring out if a line was there so I called him and asked him if he could come home (he was working) since I couldn't tell. He couldn't so I just retook the test with a digital and sure enough - pregnant I was. I called him back and told him.

I took my HPT on mother's day. I totally wasn't expecting to be pg, b/c it was our first month letting whatever happens happen. I just ran into the bedroom and told him next mother's day is going to be completely different for us. He was in shock. We thought about telling our families that day b/c they would all be at our house for a BBQ, but we wanted to wait until i went to the doc and confirmed.

I bought 2 baby bibs...one in pink and one in blue that said "I Love Daddy." I told him that I had a small present for him that I saw in the store and I coulnd't resist buying it. I gave them it him wrapped up in a gift bag and he opened them! He was more than shocked!!!

nothing fun here, he wanted me to take a test but i kept putting it off, finally i did and i was and just told him to come inot the bathroom and he saw the line, gave me a hug n kiss then called his mom

With DD#1 I found out for sure on 12/23...although I suspected earlier in the week. Anyway, I waited all that time until 12/25 to tell DH on Christmas morning. Not the gift he was expecting!

For DD#2, I took a picture of the digital test and printed it out. I took DD#2 to BRU, bought her a "Big Sister" t-shirt and she handed DH the picture once he came home from work while wearing the shirt. That was priceless since he was so stressed out...someone had just *written* on his car!!!

poor DH was so sad after 3 months with no success that i didn't want to wait... i woke him up at 6:30am telling him to come in the bathroom and see if he saw the same line i did

I actually called him at work. He was so shocked he almost hung up on me. He made me take another test and call him back to make sure. I couldn't wait for him to come home!

I took a HPT and went downstairs and showed it to him....he was like "huh?"

I called him at work & told him to make sure he gets home fast because I have to show him something.

He got home, I sat him on the couch pulled out the HPT from my sleeve & told him that we are having a baby!

Nothing spectacular & unique at all. I was so much in shock myself that my brain wasn't in the right function mode to come up with something creative.

well we did the IF route

but she still managed to surprise me to a degree

we were scheduled to go see the doctor on a Monday

it was the Wednesday before, during the 2WW, and we were debating whether or not she should test before going to the Dr.

On the one hand, you don't go in with false hope. On the other, it's a letdown. But we never came to a conclusive decision.

I went in the kitchen and started cooking. She goes in the bathroom, comes out about 5 mins later with this sheepish grin on her face and says, "Guess what, I'm PG" and shows me the HPT

I was shocked -and was like "wow - that's great - we know what we're in for at the doctor's office."

Like a moron, my next words were

"A baked potato OK for the side dish tonight?"

i took the test while he was at work one day and i called him up to tell him.. i couldnt wait till he got home

i had a great idea or plan, at least until it went up in smoke!

I ordered a baby's tshirt that said "virginia tech, Future freshmen" on it. That's where my husband went to school. Well i was going to tell him that way, but then the item came back as backordered.

So i couldn't hold it in anymore and i just simply came downstairs with my 6 tests and put them on the counter.

I could not wait to do anything special. My DH was oncall all day, so I sent him a text message of a photo of the test (s). At first he had no clue what it was.

I tested because I was a week late but was sure it was going to be negative because I had spotted the week before (now realize it was implantation bleeding)... I just brought the test out to DH on the couch and asked, "are you seeing what I'm seeing?" in a total state of shock!

With this pregnancy, I had been telling him I knew I was pg from the day after ovulation.

Anyway, the morning I took the pg test, I got up, took it, then saw the +. He knew I was going to take it that morning, but he was still kind of sleeping. I brought it into the room with me, laid back down into the bed, and put it on my belly. I said, roll over, cuddle with me...and I took his hand and put it on my belly. This is when he felt the test, sat right up and turned the light on. He said, oh, its negative?? and I was like, uh no, you're gonna be a daddy again. He grinned from ear to ear.

He said that he was nervous bc I wasn't saying anything, and he didn't want to say anything, so when he looked at it, he was assuming it was negative. He was still cute though-he was so excited once he realized.

he came home and opened the door and i had a big gift baggie with bibs that said daddys helper and i love daddy, his favorite candies and of course the digital test on top that said pregnant inside....he was confused at first when looking inside but shocked and sooooooooo happy when he saw the pregnancy test and bibs he knew

#1 I found out a few days after Christmas so I wrapped a gift (the test) and told him I got him a little something extra.

DS and I made a card that said HI DADDY on the front and SURPRISE - I"M GOING TO BE A BIG BROTHER on the inside.....it took him a couple of minutes to get it .
