How did you ladies get through the first few weeks?
I only got my bfp a few days ago and I am so nervous. I have zero symptoms except some random pains/cramping (& a small bit of brown spotting) Absolutely nothing else. And with every pain/cramp/spotting I freak out that something is wrong. My first appt isn't until 11/11. How the heck do you make it through it?? I know stress can't be good, but I am really nervous.

Re: How did you ladies get through the first few weeks?
don't be nervous I didn't have any symptoms either. I only started to have cramps after my period was due and I never had any spotting, naseau, nothing. I felt great the entire first trimester, except for being tired.

Re: How did you ladies get through the first few weeks?
I had a couple bouts of nauceau early on and full blown m/s not too long thereafter. For me sleeping when I could was the trick.
You best bet is to do what you love to get your mind off of being overly concerned with your symptoms and the wait. Make dates with friends to meet up, get to things in your home that you have been putting off, get a head start on Christmas shopping, etc.
Hang in there!

It is hard I am going through the same thing too. Every cramp or twinge I over analyze and worry constantly.

Re: How did you ladies get through the first few weeks?
I feel the same way, dont have many symptoms, no morning sickness at all. But I am constantly anxious, cannot shake the feeling I know I need to relax and the stress is so bad its just very hard to relax, lol. I have the added stress of not having a clue how far along I am, I am guessing as best I can but until my sono next tues (finally!!) I wont know.
Hopefully after the first appointment it will all start to feel more like reality. Its just a big test of our patience I guess

Re: How did you ladies get through the first few weeks?
I'm 14 weeks and still get nervous. Try not to think about the worst and focus on the joy of the little one coming. Focus on the things you like to do. 11/11 isn't too far away. HOnestly if you do need to call your OB then do so...that's what they are there for.

Re: How did you ladies get through the first few weeks?
I'm almost 16 weeks and I still get nervous sometimes. Every woman's body handles each pregnancy differently. You may feel nothing the whole time, and then you should feel lucky! If I don't have m/s one day I freak out adn then it's back even worse the next day and I regret not taking advantage of the day without it. If you are very very nervous, ask your Dr if you can come in. They just want you to wait bc even if you go now, you will just see a sac, they want to wait until you will see/hear a heartbeat.
We're here for you!

Re: How did you ladies get through the first few weeks?
Im not gonna lie the first I'd sat 20 weeks were the hardest weeks of my life. Like PP said.. support from Friends on here and just faith that at this point..its not in your hands anymore. You and DH did your jobs. Now it's just taking care of yourself. You are not alone!! symptoms will come and go all the time. Don't read the internet. It will always tell you the absense of symptoms is a bad sign but 90% of the women on here say their symptoms came and went daily!!!

We all go through it. And it is nerve wracking. I guess best thing is to keep preoccupied with other things.

Re: How did you ladies get through the first few weeks?
I had tons of symptoms and I was still stressed. I'm 18 weeks and I am still nervous. I keep saying "when I'm 20 weeks I'll feel better." Funny enough I said when I am 12 weeks I will feel better.. still nervous (ok not as much I guess).
What got me through it was support from DH and the few people that knew as well as..whatever is going to happen, is going to happen. No matter what I will be ok.

Re: How did you ladies get through the first few weeks?
I was a total worry wart, but I had some morning sickness, so I found that reassuring. I was more worried when that stopped. I just tried to think positive, and kept telling myself everything is ok. Plus lots of support from here!

Re: How did you ladies get through the first few weeks?
The first few weeks are the hardest because you feel so normal, but it's all you think about! Once you start feeling symptoms it's starts feeling real. But it's still tough because it's probably still a secret and it's so great that you want to tell but you can't! Just focus on staying positive! Good luck!!!

Re: How did you ladies get through the first few weeks?
It's hard...because you feel totally normal if you don't have any MS. I didn't even really feel pregnant till mid way through my 2nd trimester. Just watch what you eat right now and be aware of things you do. But other then that try not to stress because that doesn't help. Just live your life and get ready for the most exciting time ever!

I was very uptight until we went to the dr around 7 weeks and had confirmation and our first sono. Take it one day a at a time - but I know it's not easy. Good luck

Re: How did you ladies get through the first few weeks?
I know what u mean. I'm about 7 weeks and I get nervous sometimes too! I had a bloodtest done 2 weeks ago which helped ease my nerves a little bit..but they are still there! Going on tuesday for my sono..so once I hear the heartbeat I should feel a little miore at ease!
