I started having contractions at 9 pm, went to the hospital at 1:30 am and the broke my water there at 4:00 am. Nicholas was born at 6:13 am.

First time water broke, followed by contraction.

Second time, contractions only. water broke after she was delivered.

I got up at 4:45 AM to pee and when I got back into bed my water broke. Not a huge gush like I thought it would be. I actually wasn't sure at 1st if it was my water or if I lost control of my bladder.

TMI...the gush was enough for me to change my undies and put a pad on....but it didn't get the bed wet.

And you could get whiplash from how fast everything happened after that! Turns out mine was exactly the same kind of progression my Mom had with me so maybe there's some heredity to the way in which you labor/deliver?

My water broke and I had contractions 7 days after my due date but because DS was so high and big, I had to have a c-section. I was suppose to be induced on a Mon but my little guy decided that he wanted to come on his own and I went into labor on Fri.

I woke up at 2:15 am with what I thought were gas pains
But then I realized that I was getting this weird pain every few minutes, so I started timing.
After a while, they felt more like contractions, and they were eventually 4 minutes apart. DH and I headed to the hospital at a little after 7am.
My doctor broke my water at around noon.

I was having bad swelling about a week before my due date and mild contractions about 10 min apart for a week, I had lost my plug, was almost completely effaced but not dilating. So I voted induction since my doctor decided to try cervidil to ripen my cervix a bit to help bring on labor. I had my baby 24 hrs after.

my water broke at 5pm while i was at work. I gave birth the next day at 12noon.

My water broke 11 days early.... they induced labor with picoten, and the string on the cervix... nothing got me past 4cm - I wound up with a section.

This pregnancy is a scheduled c-section.

None of the above. I went to the Dr for my weekly apt....she saw I had progressed to 4cm 100%effaced (had started to progress at 35 weeks) and sent me to the hospital where they broke my water......3 1/2 hours late I was holding my son .
