How did it happen for YOU?

I am pretty close to the "end" and getting a little curious about how this is going to happen for me. I am curious to know what happened to YOU when you knew it was "time"...

I had to be induced.
I was 13 days late
We ended up finding out - after hours of labor that I needed a C-section to find out - that the baby would have never come out on her own - she was 'sunny side up'

I woke up at 6am with contractions the day before I was supposed to be induced. When they kept coming for an hour, I started to time them. They were 7-8 min apart for 6 hours, then 5-6 min. I called the doc around 1pm and she said to head to the hospital. Took a shower, got something to eat and we were off. They had to break my water when i got to the hospital. I gave birth at 2:48 am the next morning

My water broke while I was sitting on my mom's Beige Microfiber couch
But it wasnt a lot... The big gush (as I like to call it) came when we were in the elevator at the hospital...

After the first false alarm I started to have regular contractions at 6pm. They weren't painful but regular. They started to hurt by 2am and were 5 min apart and painful by 3am. I got to the hospital at 3:30am and was 2 cm dilated. Had DD at 9:30am. My OB broke my water with that stick thing they use and it wasn't too painful but I may have had the epideral by then. I kept a log book and wrote down every contraction and the time. Good luck and try to remember everything. It all seems like a blur to me now. I know the info I just gave you because I had it written down

As you already know, I was induced 6 days past my due date. I think if I hadn't been he probably would have come out on his own within a day or two because I was already having mild, but consistent, contractions on my own.

I put contractions. I wasn't having full-fledged contractions I don't think, it was more of a CONSTANT ache, and sharp pains b/c I was 90% effaced at the time. I called my dr. and he said to go to the hospital, right before I left I lost my plug (sorry, TMI) and THEN the contractions started immediately after that, in the car on the way to the hospital!

My water broke and thank g-d I was home! Then the real contractions started..

I've had 3 kids and each time it was different

#1 - water broke followed by contractions
#2 - water didnt break but had contractions
#3 - water broke but no contractions

I guess I was lucky with the water breaking both times it was a trickling type and both times I was home.

ETA: With #2 where my water didnt break, I was having contrax all day but when I was doubled over my bed later in the evening, we decided that maybe it was time to call the OB. The pain in the lower back in the kidney area with the contrax was the key factor in it being real. Contractions just in front only are often Braxton Hicks, even if they are painful.

I woke up with a contraction in my back so I jumped up and I had some gushes of water then I had more gushes at the hospital.

A week after my due date, I finally started getting contractions. I went to the hospital that night and he was born the next day.

I was in the hospital for preeclampsia, got up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and POOF - my water broke! At least I was in the right place at the right time

I was home, on the computer. I heard and felt my mucus plug pop, and then the trickle of water. Luckily, I was in the bathroom when the gush came. It was probably an hour or two later before I felt the contractions.

Neither - I was sent to the hospital for monitoring and they gave me an internal to find out I was 5 CM dialated. They eventually broke my water there.

Water broke in a big gush. We were on our way to a wedding and had just stopped by Walgreens to pick up a card. I felt a pop when DH was on line and the big gush happened just as I stepped foot out of the store. Classic.

I was having some mild contractions all day, some noticable, some not so I didn't think to time them.

My water broke at home. I had been
2-3 cm dialted the week before at my dr appointment.

Went to the hospital at 8pm and I was told I was having contractions, but I had not felt anything...got pitocin and about 9 hours later my son was born!

Unfortunately 8 days after my due date they did a sono and estimated my boy to be over 10lbs. So they scheduled a c-section for me the next morning. I never dialated more than 1cm, no contractions, nothing!

For me it was contractions. Had my first one at midnight didn't think anything of it and fell back asleep. At 2am they started every 10-20 mins and still didn't think it was "it" By 5am they were still coming every 10 mins, sometimes 6 mins. That's when I finally realized OMG this is IT! I had my son 5 days early.

My water broke at 35 weeks. I was in bed 2am and heard a pop just as I got up to go to the bathroom. At first I thought I had wet myslef, but then figured it out. Looking back, I think I lost my MP 2 days earlier, but there was no blood and I didnt think anything of it at the time.

My water broke at 4:15am, I was getting up to go to the bathroom and I felt what I thought was a trickle of my water breaking, but as soon as I stood up I knew my water broke!

#1 - 37 weeks, at 6 a.m. on a Sunday morning, my water broke with a pop and a HUGE gush (lots of water, but that's because he was breech and there was nothing to plug the flow). Never had one contraction, he was born 3 hours later via c/s because he was breech.

#2 - I had period cramps for a few days. Then on a Friday night, I tried to go to bed, and the contractions were very intense and 10 minutes apart. She was born 6 hours later, after my doc broke my water and I pushed for 3 hours!

I was induced.. my amniotic sac was rupturing and I was leaking fluid slowly. I was induced 6 days past due.
