How are your Furbabies dealing with the heat??
We've been getting up early to take them to the park when it's as cool as possible... but this is how they spend the rest of the day...
Take Lilah out in the heat, and she hangs her head and acts like we're torturing her. Sam could care less!
How are your kids doing in the heat??

Aww the paw on the nose! The babies aren't all that bad, honestly. We always take them out very early anyway. And in the afternoons, DH has been just letting them run around in the yard with the kiddie pool out. Our collie mix just drinks the water and lounges around, but our pit mix loves the pool. She was so hesitant at first, but I gave her a little nudge in and now she loves it.

Our cats are strange.....
They are free to go pretty much wherever they want inside, and they almost always tend to gravitate toward the one room without the AC on. I don't know what their deal is lol

My cat runs into our bedroom which does not have an AC and likes to lie there. We leave the AC on for my dog in the living room and she just lays there and sleeps all day.

Re: How are your Furbabies dealing with the heat??
my maltese deals with the heat fairly well... i walk them later on at night when it's much cooler, 7-8pm and otherwise just let them out in the yard so they can spend as little or as much time out as they want, and exert as little or as much energy as they want. the maltese will lay outside, happy as a clam in the sun, or walk as long as you like. my king charles spaniel on the other hand, she does NOT deal with the heat. if i'm outside, she picks a shady spot on the pavers to lay, and as much as she loves her walks, i can tell the heat is too much on her, even at night. i leave the AC on all day for them - and even at night, when it's fairly cool and i don't even need it (at 6 months pregnant!!) i'll put it on just for her, bc i can tell she's hot and uncomfortable. poor thing

My dog is fine. I keep a water dish outside for him in the warmer months and constantly replace it when it's super hot like this. We keep the air on inside for him whether we are home or not.

Darwin stays indoors, he hates the heat, he's definitely a fan of winter.
Huxley runs outside like he doesn't even notice it! We got him a kiddie pool and fill it up on really hot days and he splashes around in it so that helps keep him cool...
