how are you doing with excercise? with poll!
i havent been doing much at all i stopped a 5 months now that its getting closer to the end i am beating myself up for not continuing i used to be very active now i have no interest i say im a going to walk but that never happens anymore!just curious to see what other preggys are up too

I'm still at the beginning - 8 weeks, and I try to go to they gym 3x per week. It usually turns into just 2. I do the elliptical and some light weights. I gained 3 lbs already, ( I was 15 lbs overweight when I got BFP) so I am nervous that I really do need to keep up excercising!

I'm still working out. I am 23 weeks now. I have been doing the elliptical and treadmill with light weights about 3x a week.... except this week, I didn't work out at all Sciatica has been acting up bad!
just out of curiosity do you feel you gained little/no weight because of the exercise or are you gaining the average?

I definitely feel that I AM gaining weight. I am up about 15 or 16 lbs. I gained the majority of it during the 1st trimester though. Now I see about a pound every week or 2.

I was a self proclaimed gym NUT before i got PG. Onc ei found out i was so scared bc of my m/c last fall. And after i got the OK from dr, i was so sick and so tired i had NO interest. I do plan to go back THIS WEEK bc now im HOPEFULLY starting to feel better and have alittle more energy.
I miss it SOOOOOOOO much!!!

I just got back into the groove of walking last week. After speaking to my OB about gaining weight at a rapid pace, we decided it would be best if I got back to walking like I did prior. So last week I did 4 days of at least 30 minutes outside & one day on the treadmill at home at 20 minutes. I do not walk as fast, but I am still out moving. My OB also told me the more active I am, the easier labor will be. So that is my motivation now.

I'm 29+ weeks and walk about 3-4 miles a day. Oh and yes, I'm still gaining like a big, fat, heifer, but I'm convinced the walking in my last pregnancy helped me with having a very smooth, easy c-section recovery, so that's my motivation.

i haven't done any exercise since getting my BFP, given my history of pre-term contractions (exercise brings on the contractions, big time).
but last time around once i got off bedrest at 36 weeks i walked and even jogged (what a sight to see that must have been ). i'm convinced it made my labor easier.
this time around i'll start walking at 34 weeks or so, hoping for a similar smooth delivery...

I picked other because I do yoga 1X a week. Before being pg, I ran on the treadmill but no more!

A whole lotta nothing but then again I have never been good with exercise.
BUT I am hoping to change that since I have a tendency to put on weight and I want to be able to take off the baby weight relatively quickly.

I'm a personal trainer (not working now though) and self proclaimed gym rat. I did NOTHING during my first trimester - way too tired. But since about 18 weeks (I'm 29 now) I've been doing weights/cardio 3-4 times a week and yoga 5 times a week. I feel all of its helping me a lot both mentally and physically.

I run to the fridge at LEAST 10 times a day!
Seriously..I've been terrible about exercise. I didn't feel well till week 15, then since then ive just been tired or consumed with other stuff. I KNOW i should be doing it, but it hasn't been a priority. Once DS comes along I'll be back at the gym as soon as possible though, I do miss it!

I am terrible with this ! I ordered a video and never watched it. I am hoping when it gets nice out I will get my fat a@@ up and walk outside on the boardwalk since I live right by the beach . Too bad all I want to do is

I was pretty good up till about 32 weeks then that's it. I was on the elliptical first and 2nd tri and I'd walk fast on the tread and did 5 pound weights. At 32 weeks my treadmill speed started to sloooow down. I think grandma's were lapping me, but I was still trying to walk... at least once or twice a week. Due tomorrow so maybe I should go on the treadmill to speed things up.

Whole lotta nothing ... but wasted money on a Pregnancy fitness book and a Pregnancy yoga book.
I've been planning on walking the bboardwalk at Sunken Meadow on the weekends but it just hasn't happened yet.
