I went to a few and my fave was South Shore in Valley Stream. He gave me a killer deal and then did the same for my husband!!! They even drove to Jersey on Thanksgiving Eve to get my car, they sat in hours of traffic.....
Ask for Stephan or Wanda, I'll be back there in November for my trade-in!
Oh, and don't got to Millenium, they're a bunch of greasy snakes!!!

I agree about Millennium, I worked with them behind the sceens at my old job and YUCK.

I highly recommend Babylon Honda in Lindenhurst. DH and I bought two cars from them - at separate times. DH researched the honda dealers on the island and they had the best BBB records and such. Both times we have dealt with good people.

We hated both Valley Stream and Babylon. We walked out of both dealers.

We had a horrible experience with the Valley Stream dealership and would never recommend them. The sales people and managers were great, but the woman who does the financing (and then tries to sell you a billion add-ons) made our buying experience there the worst one yet. She insulted me AND my fiance multiple times. We came in with our own financing and they claimed they could get us a better rate. They offered us a rate that was (literally) 2.5% higher than the rate we got through our bank. We said, no thanks - we'll stick with what we got. She starts ripping apart our credit reports (we have good credit!) and talking to us like we're five. She was snapping at us, telling us we needed to go home to get the paperwork to prove that's actually the rate they gave us because with our credit, we'd never qualify for that rate. Once we said we weren't doing them any favors, she started to threaten that we couldn't take the car home for 2-4 weeks while the check from our financing cleared - we had already worked out a pick up time of that afternoon with the salesman. Finally, I was done being nice, I walked right out of her office and up to the manager. I told him and the salesperson EXACTLY what she was doing and said "I don't think we need to do you any favors to buy a car from you. Either put a stop to this, or we leave NOW."
If the managers hadn't been so great, we would have walked out and taken our money elsewhere.
We gave her a 0 when they called to ask for an evaluation of the people we met with. They have called us at least a dozen times since then wanting to know why. We're tired of telling the story over and over again.
I have to say, up until we spoke to that woman, everything went great. Mohammad was our salesman and he was phenomenal. The managers were also very nice and helpful - not at all pushy, etc. The woman in finance, though, is the reason we won't even get our cars serviced there. We'll never go back there for anything. If they hadn't been the only Honda dealership with the exact car we wanted that didn't have a 6 week wait, we would have walked out without hesitating.

Agree with NO to Huntington Honda...
Let's jsut say a few identity theft cases pointed to purchases being made there (purchases made by ID Theft victims)....
and these cases are of NO relation to eachother whatsoever...
I did have a decent experience with them in the past with servicing my car, but most recently
  (this is almost 2yrs ago now)..
not blaming anyone, but to be told that others reporting ID theft ALSO made a recent purchase there from someone was pretty freaky...

I go to Honda in Levittown for maintenance. I usually get appointments where I can wait since I need to drive to work afterwards.
I just appreciate that they keep a log of work I've done and what needs to be done. I can't remember all that.

my sister bought her Civic at Huntington Honda and RAVES about it till this day. she goes there all the way from Queens to get it serviced.
I was surprised to hear negative things about it.
DH and I went looking at Baron Honda in Patchogue recently. VERY nice salespeople, not pushy AT ALL. they handed DH and I the keys to 3 different cars and sent us on our own to test drive them all, didn't even ask for my license.

I also bought my civic there 6yrs ago, had it serviced there for the 4yrs that I had it, no problems at all.
even my hubby's experience was good, when he bought his car there, but what happened afterwards was just shocking and too much of a coincidence, even for detectives that were involved..
