Holiday blues?
Last year I was like that. Don't know why. Just wasn't in the mood. My tree was half assed, house barely decorated. Blah. I did snap out of it by the time Xmas came. Then it was fun. No help here I just snapped out of it for my kids. This year my DD is really into it so it's more fun.

Re: Holiday blues?
There really isn't much to say except you are not alone. I have not been into it this year.
ETA: sorry it posted before I was done. In terms of coping with it, just remember its okay not to be in the holiday spirit but try to do 1 thing that is holiday related that might make you happy- whether it is turning on some holiday music, or driving around to see lights, or baking something special, or watching holiday themed movies, or window browsing the stores... pick 1 that usually lifts your spirits and see if that works a little, even just for the day!

Re: Holiday blues?
I have no idea really how to deal with holiday blues. I have them this year. My grandma passed away this summer and I miss her so much at Christmas time. She just loved Christmas and always loved my trees. My tree this year was horrible losing needles every where so I had to take it down and go buy a new tree. I just feel like nothing is going right. I walk around the stores shopping and think about what I would have got her. She also loved sending Christmas cards and I've yet to put mine in the mail box. Its hard thinking about a Christmas without her. I've spent every Christmas with her. I have my two girls so I just put on a big smile on for them but I've been feeling blue since Thanksgiving.

Re: Holiday blues?
to you girls.
I don't have holiday blues specifically.
But my sister lives in Florida and we have literally been counting the days until we see eachother. We got to vermont together the weekend before christmas every year.
My DS has been really sick and we have to stay home I was so upset last night...like crying like haven't cried in years
I feel like it ruined my christmas spirit.

Holiday blues?
Yes, I get them every year. Unfortunately a lot of my loved ones have gotten sick and passed away during this time of year so I definitely have my sad moments. I just really try to focus on the good things and how excited DS will be Christmas morning. it doesn't always work but it helps a lot. Hugs to you!

Holiday blues?
Thanks all
I'm into it in the sense that I love putting up the decor and seeing lights and doing Xmas stuff. I love buying gifts for others. I love seeing the kids happy.
But then I get this weird sadness. Just strange. I hear it's common.
