I went in for a scheduled C- section on Thursday. I have to say, I hyped so much pain and worry in my head and it honestly wasn't and isn't that bad! The first night was rough, only due to the fact I personally had a negative reaction to the spinal block wearing off and got sick a few times. Other than that I've been staying on top of my pain medication schedule and taking it really easy.
For all the girls delivering at Stony Brook, you have NOTING and I mean NOTHING to worry about. You are really in very special hands. Every single nurse and clinical nurses were just simply amazing. I can't say enough about the staff, they really do go above and beyond!

Can I ask you... did you have a c-section because of the size of the baby? I'm expecting our baby to be a big boy, too! My doc thinks c-section is the way to go.

I sure did! And he was massive when he was first born, when we left the hospital he was 8.7 lbs. I stare at him and think "holy cow, I don't know if I could've had you naturally." I'd still be pregnant if I didn't have the C-Section.
