i was in a similar situation a couple yrs ago (i was babysitting a little girl, started in sept and her parents work at a school). They gave me for xmas 2 or 3 days pays. i think i work that week until a tuesday or wed but they pay me for the full week.

I think I would go with $50. That is a nice gift for a student.

My babysitter is 22 and I use her about 25-30 hours per week (3 days a week). I gave her a $300 AMEX gift card, a Rachel Ray cookbook (she likes to cook), and the high UGG boots with the buttons (they were about $200). She was very happy.

I think if she is watching your kid and you love her then she should get a nice treat for the holidays.

I think anywhere between $50-$100 would be good. IF you've been happy with her, I think it's nice to show the appreciation.
We've had my full-time sitter for 6 months and I gave her 1/2 week's pay and token gift. We plan on keeping her as long as we can though.
